Probably not the best idea. I have an unusual first name, and copped so much flak for it while growing up that I HATE it. Everyone says it's a beautiful name, but it just reminds me of all the shitty nicknames other kids gave me. I would kill to have a normal name.

I have a really weird name that people always mispronounce. They always call me a thousand other different more common names that sound like my name, and it really gets on my nerves. In high school, I went by "Kat," and by the end of four years, I couldn't STAND having a "normal" name. :/

Not that I'm saying to the OP of the secret that she should name her boy Sakura, I find that ridiculous. I was mainly just suggesting, maybe you should go by a normal nickname for a while. If it doesn't help you appreciate your weird name, then at least it's something else to go by. XD
