140: How are those girls less interchangeable than those guys? Not to say that those guys are well written, but neither are those girls. Tenten doesn't have anything memorable about her whatsoever. (I honestly don't even know how I remember she even exists. I can't remember a single thing she's done in that manga.) Ino and Sakura are essentially the same character. Hinata's only personality trait is that she has a crush on Naruto. How can you call these characters awesome or quirky?
141: No offense, but that's a hideous drawing...or at the very least Draco is hideous in it. Hermione doesn't look TOO bad.

I don't think the girls are interchangeable at all (for example, nobody could say Hinata and Ino have similar personalities. Itachi? Neji? Sasuke? They all fall into the same 'angsty-past-frown-a-lot' category. Gaara had Kyuubi and is the kazekage and will do anything to protect Suna but personality-wise there isn't anything to him either.
I like Tenten a lot and it annoys me when people act as if she actually did just stand there the whole time. She didn't. She cares a lot about her teammates, even though they wear her out a lot, and is there to balance out the craziness in team Gai. If she wasn't there, Neji and Lee would constantly be bickering, Neji would be MISERABLE because he'd be alone in the whole 'slow-down-no-i-won't-wear-spandex' thing. (And no, i'm not a NejiTen shipper. coughhatecough) She might not do 'BADASS' things, but she does do things.
Ino and Sakura? The same? No. I can't even begin to point out all the flaws in that.
Hinata is a people pleaser. She wouldn't have lasted nearly as long in her fight against Neji if it hadn't been for her wanting Naruto to notice her. But she's determined. And she wants to change. Something we can all relate to.
Also, i'm disregarding shitpuuden, which ruined Hinata, Tenten, Ino and a lot of the boys too.
Check out the 'Hated character' community and see the arguements for the girls. Then maybe you'll look at them a bit differently.

157. I recognize Pan's Labyrinth, Star Trek (not more specific than that though), The Orphanage, Lion King (hopefully obviously) and The Village, but that's all.

And dude, I cry at movies all. The. Time. My sister makes fun of me so much for it.

As for tear-jerkers, I'd recommend Dancer In The Dark. Wall-E also made me cry during the first 5-or-so minutes, and I pretty much cried the whole movie through, ahaha. Iron Giant made me cry a lot, too. And as much as I hate to admit it, Titanic - I don't even like it, and it still makes me cry every time!

I agree. I totally agree. And if my friends knew they would hate me for it.

I couldn't understand why, when they finally admitted their love for each other, I didn't ship them anymore. And then I realized: I totally thought for years that she was using him for power. I figured that they would hook up, and then she'd take advantage of his feeling for her to get him to do things her way. I didn't want her to actually have feelings for him! I never thought Laura was that kind of person, if any of her past relationship were any indication. *cough cough Adar*

Well, it's good to know I'm not alone! I feel like the writers have never been able/willing to let the character realize her potential, instead preferring to back-burner "Mom" while they focused on riveting subplots like Kara's mommy issues and Lee's marriage woes. This just seems like an extension of that -- they don't know what to do with her, so they give her an age-appropriate suitor, problem solved, despite the fact that it's a betrayal of everything we already know about Laura.

113. When did they say that he did? It's a niche subgenre of Heroes fic, and the OP enjoys it for deeply personal reasons. That kind of enjoyment doesn't always have much to do with canonical plausibility.

If anyone deserves your objections, it's the authors who keep putting out the Sylar/Gabriel fics in the first place.

I read Rayearth when I was 14, and I had bipolar II, but it wasn't diagnosed.

I was told all the time that Fuu was a selfish bitch, but I saw her as being the most unselfish of all of them. Whereas Umi and Hikaru were too afraid to hurt the people they loved, they were willing to kill themselves. They never realized that dying for the person they loved would hurt them more than any physical pain they endured.

Thank you for showing me that I'm not the only one who thought that.

I couldn't manage to explain to my friends why Fuu wasn't in love with herself or some crap. I'm so glad that people actually understand. They got mad when I called them shallow for not understanding. I disliked myself a lot as a teenager (who didn't?) but this helped me remember that people do love me.
I SO AGREE about Hikaru and Umi. People just worship them but they're more selfish than Fuu, IMHO.

Uhm........No? Look, I'll find equal ground with you here. My OTP is based on hate and disregard for the safety of each other. Nnoitra breaks Nell's head, Nell nearly kills him. The whole reason they don't work as a couple in Zutara isn't because they're completely unhealthy when it comes to disagreement (on a more common ground than my OTP? I want a man who WILL disagree with me) but that they're GENUINELY not meant for each other. I didn't need Mike and Bryan to make it fanon to make me feel that way.

It's not about all the things he's done, it's just their natures. Zutara is not so much fiery as hard to completely come to just with, it's based on lust and pretentious ness. It's not as if Aang and Katara never disagreed (Katara even has to think over their relationship) and Mai and Zuko definitely disagreed. But Zuko is the kind of person who needs to do what he wants and Katara has shown herself as a person who cannot do things in a way like that. She is in a position where the greatest kind of relationship for her would be a nurturing and understanding one. The 'Forbidden Love' skit was completely rude but it had a point, Zuko can't talk about his feelings and Katara can.

The only time Katara can really relate to Zuko is when she's mad enough to finally spit out how she really feels. Zuko barely said anything to Mai, and she's the girl he's canonly with. He can't muster up a lot for even Iroh, his uncle. He does what he does and he has to function that way, and someone like Katara really isn't good that way because she's the type of person who is group support. If someone just leaves her she would be more offended than even Mai, who read the letter to Zuko angrilly, because her relationships function on trust and moral support.

Zuko just needs to be alone sometimes, MAi just needs to be alone sometimes. Katara isn't good with Zuko because they're disagreeing isn't even on a healthy level anymore, it's all about being completely mismatched. They make good friends because from a third person perspective Katara can critisize Zuko's decisions and she wouldn't feel as hurt to see him go, but a relationship is a two partner thing and the way Zuko functions in those kinds of things is just not what Katara needs at all. I think a lot of people want to think about Zuko when it comes to Zutara, but Katara really is the kind of person to need emotional support. Zuko hugged her once after pretty much going on a journey that she needed but.. that he wasn't helping in at all.

He nurtured her angry feelings because of his inability to forgive his own father when it came to his mother. Aang was faced with a situation in which he had to kill someone who'd caused him and his friends great pain, but he can't because of who he is. As weird as it is that twerpy 12 year old is the kind of stable and caring person Katara needs. Pairings and disliking pairings aren't simply black and white. I've always felt that hatred and past mistakes can be sewn, but what really matters is the ultimate feelings of someone involved in the relationship.

If Mai got suddenly left she wouldn't be as upset by it, at this point she's come to realize the things people have to do. She even saved his life and came to a reasonable understanding when he left her. In all honesty if I, the amazing hate-love crackshipping cuckoo nut, don't see it then I probably will never be convinced, and if you love it then you will likely never be convinced either. But I felt like sharing my opinion. Good luck in shipping! Also I think your idea of a relationship IS healthy, your ships just a little off for me to take it the same way you do. Anyway, have fun! I gave up avatar fandom so I don't have to be wanked on TOO badly for this..xD
