How is Tenten "awesome and quirky"? When did she actually do something in the story that showed any form of quirkiness (or personality, for that matter)?

Hell, I don't think any of the Naruto characters are interesting, to be honest (especially after the time skip). But I do think the Naruto girls fail big time, but that's mainly because Kishi can't write decent female characters for his life. I think the girls are good IN THEORY, and I've read some awesome fics where they have fleshed out, well-developed personalities, but in the context of the story I just can't see it.

Contrary to popular belief, Tenten isn't actually an inanimate object used to fill the girl slot on Team Gai. She's there to balance out the crazy and provide a down-to-earth and sane voice to Gai and Lee (and save Neji from slitting his wrists) When Lee fought the sound ninja and got knocked out, she chased after him and didn't let him rest; she shook him hard until he woke up. Even though they wear her out, she cares about her teammates, and Team Gai would be a shambles without her :)

It's not really this specific picture. I followed it for a long time simply being fooled by the cover picture. This is a woman who gets ridiculous amounts of money for ripping off a style done by people she likes art by. I'm actually a fan of yours and even when you draw anime characters you show individuality and style, and all the work you've ever put forward really shows in your work. I am not confident in myself as an artist but it's disheartening to see someone who has no real plot and art that usually consists of her bsing it to be near published. Her work is not nearly as impressive as the cover, or even some of her deviations. But I can't cross reference every picture in a secret, so I'll give you some examples:

She supposedly spent awhile on this, but it's really apparent she did not. She gets favs like mad and even featured for BAD ART like this. If she drew the way she always did in the picture I used, I might be more partial to her and forgive the bad story and the overtly cliche characters.

It's as if every anatomy feature she's shown us went completely downhill, and it's completely...annoying. I know people can't keep up a consistent style constantly, but she has amazing potential and instead wastes it on such a subpar level or work and a subpar story line. I am offended by it and it deeply makes me struggle to see someone work 'apparently' hard for something and to then haut herself over people because she's going to be published, which she does A LOT. Her story fails, and her art constantly degrades because she has so much of an ego. So no, the pic I posted in my original picture 'isn't bad' but I left the story name seen so it could be judged on all her art, not the selective picture.

137. Melodrama and overreaction aside, I'm pretty sure you don't have to worry about that. It's pretty standard for Korean pop idols singers to be in dramas. Kim Heechul has been in several, including main roles, and is simultaneously with Super Junior. Same for Kibum.

DBSK is SME's cash cow, and they know perfectly well that it's still got plenty of proverbial milk. Jaejoong has a contract (which also means he has permission, if not prodding, to take the drama role), so he can't just up and leave, and I'm pretty sure SME will bend over backwards in order to make sure he renews it. You don't easily let go of a member of a group that sells 300k volumes of an album just from preorders.

NF1. The fact that I don't agree with her on quite a number of issues aside, I don't feel like she's ready to be Vice President. What with all the "lol Joe Sixpack! Maverick maverick maverick! "I'm a Washington outsider" is a really terrible reason for voting someone to be a potential future leader. She honestly expects people to love her for being uninformed? I cry rivers at so many books/movies/anime/etc. It's nothing to be ashamed of. :)

Here's some recommendations that had me bawling.

Anime: Wolf's Rain, Samurai X (the Rurouni Kenshion OVAs), Cowboy Bebop.
Books: Of Mice and Men, Where the Red Fern Grows, Walk Two Moons, Tuesdays With Morrie, Narnia book 7, The Outsiders.
Movies: The Land Before Time, The Fox and the Hound, All Dogs go to Heaven, Click, Simon Birch, The House of Flying Daggers.

Also, the Tale of Iroh from the Tales of Ba Sing Se episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender can keep me in tears for hours.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan and will be hitting the road tour when it comes near me, but I've been trying to connect with people in the fandom for over a month and have yet to do so. So forgive me if I'm not as enthusiastic about the Army as you are.

Not the OP, but I'm sorry you've had a bad time with it. I've only had good experiences with it so far, but I think it's because I mostly stick to my fellow Repo! fans on LJ rather than trying to connect with the people on the boards.
