I get why people delete and purge their LJs, I really do, but it sucks when you're looking for old kink meme fills and all the stories you want to read have been deleted.

Especially if the comments for the deleted fics are ranting and raving about how hot/good/awesome it was.

And because the thread still exists, you can't use the Wayback Machine to see the fic. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This is why if I find a fic I love, I will without fail copy and paste it into my Google Docs. I know that's a little frowned on, but I never share them (if I want people to read the fic, I direct them to the actual post! or if it's gone, it's a "sorry, can't help you" situation), and that way I have the peace of mind that I can always find and read it. Plus that makes it easier for me to organize things by particular attributes I like from that fic.

Same, I was recently going through old bookmarks and found a number of my favourite fics had been deleted, and a one of my all time favourite authors for an old fandom deleted their whole profile. It lead me to copy all of what I found into my notes, but it really sucks to lose all those good memories, y'know. There's not much you can do about it though.

If WM goes back far enough, there should be a version of the site saved before the fic was deleted. There are times when it for some reason doesn't save all LJ pages, but I've found my way into f-locked fic through WM, so it should definitely be possible.

I#m kinda pissed at the guy at my uni who won't reply to my mail. I'll have to write to him again tomorrow (or maybe I'll just try to call his office on monday)to ask if he even received it since he allegedly didn't get the first mail I sent him a few weeks ago either (which I doubt and am pretty sure he just overlooked it back then). But I'm always so anxious that he did get it and just didn't work on it yet and will get pissed that I'm annoying him and work extra slow. But it's been almost two weeks and it's not a big thing so I think it's well within my rights to remind him.
I'm sure he'll say he didn't get that mail either but fuck that.

Without Mom, Christmas feels like just another thing to do because 'idk might as well'. She made Christmas magical and special. It truly made her happy to see us open gifts. It meant so much to her and us. Now it's just at a reminder that she's gone.

I'm hate reading r/Gendercritical (the Terf-subreddit) and they go on and on abput how noone ("except a handful of perverts") will ever want to have sex with a transwoman of transman. How do they explain the the trans people who have partners???

I wish there was a way to block every possible variations of a picture with only a couple of clicks. (Cases in point: Baby Yoda and an album cover consisting of a close-up of a kid with missing teeth--I love the singer, her voice, her songs, but the picture used squicks me something someful.)
Come one, Evil Google, please offer me a solution!

I really wish LGBTQ social media would spend less time on stupid slap fights over how fucked the English language is and more time talking about things that matter like Trump policies, HIV, health care access, and discrimination.

Damn it. Migraine day two, plus woke up hormonal and in pain down there and my chest on top of my head and foot. I'm irritable. I want chocolate, but I can't because of the migraine. I didn't sleep great last night, third night in a row. I'm over everything and want the world to go away. Parents are being really noisy today when I just want silence.

Also, my computer is having issues, and I can't exactly bring it to the shop right now so I'm just going to have to deal.

I wish I had more energy and could focus. I hate housecleaning because it’s a lot of borinv effort and then when things are clean I stress about not being able to keep them that way until I give up and live in squalor until I’m sick of it and start cleaning again. And I love rain, but I hate mud. There’s mud

Chocolate seems to be affecting my skin more and more the older I get. I bought a bag of Lindor 70% chocolates, and I ate six of them over the course of two days, and now my forehead is covered in little whiteheads. Like, the reaction is so quick and so obvious it's verging on food allergy at this point.

My cousin's kids are awful. I hate that we are vaguely obligated to invite them to my nibling's birthday parties because my sister works for another cousin who is close to them. She can't control them at all!

And what the movies would've been like if they had cast more of the adult characters closer to the ages in the books. James, Lily, Sirius, Remus, and Snape were all born in 1960, making James and Lily 21 when they died in 1981 and in 1991, in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Sirius, Remus, and Snape would've been 31. And it is making my brain stall out to realize that Daniel Radcliff will be that age next year, partly because of the passage of time sneaking up on me, but also because it's when I think about things like this, that I realize how weird my age perception sometimes is because of media.
