Okay, I half-agree with this secret. Marta/Emil is my het OTP for the series and I love it to bits and pieces and it's honestly a little disheartening to know Richter/Emil is going to be leagues popular. And this is coming from someone who also typically favors the slashy pairings.

However, saying "splitting them up should make you feel like a horrible person," is really ... :|. Just :|. Even if I understand why and can sympathize as I think similar things at times.

ahaha, i know i went a bit overboard with the horrible person comment. teach me to make a secret at midnight on friday after having a very bad day at work. but both bad and normal ends made me sob like a baby because they got split up, and best end made me cry too but for a good reason.

and i too want to sob over good ending in english. i feel your pain.

I used to agree with this, until I realized that the comic is actually meant as a kind of sidebar for the essays (there's a reason the main penny-arcade.com page shows you the essay first) and now I like it a lot better. The comic is usually funnier in context, and if not... oh well, at least the essay is always funny/poignant/informative/something.

141. I find that Penny Arcade is best appreciated by the gaming community who reads all of the articles they reference and plays all the games they mention like it's their job. I get a chuckle when they talk about a game I'm familiar with but recently it's been all this stuff that makes me go "huh?" and I don't like when comics make me do that, it's why I stopped reading Wapsi Square.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with that; heck, just look at the bazillion Tommy/Kim fics on FF.net. You are most certainly not alone, even if I do wish people would get over that blasted The Letter™ already.

Though personally, I was never that big on the Tommy/Kim relationship, endearing as it was in the first season as they pined over each other. I didn't really like Kim from the get-go, and Tommy lost pretty much all of his charm the moment he returned as Jeebus the White Ranger.
