Damn, pre-cut is a repeat. Owned.

Not!fandom 1 is definitely fandom. And I KNOW, RIGHT?!!!

105. ilu! :D

110. Dib was always my favorite…♥

140. I love Maiko. I'm the only one among my friends (they're all Zutara shippers >_>).

147. You, my friend, are awesome.

[identity profile] fan-of-miggie.livejournal.com 2008-11-18 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
133. Hey, is this that movie where they go to a park and one of them just says "Hi"? I remember seeing a trailer for it...(and thinking that part was kind of lame--what's so scary about a person with a bag over their head saying "Hi"? But I might just take that back after reading the comments....).

"Men are far too shallow"? As if women can't be shallow too, amirite? :\

143

[identity profile] 1000rainydays.livejournal.com 2008-11-18 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
yes :D! I loved persona 3 and was going to get the game regardless....then I realized they ALL were deliciously bespectacled. I honestly can't wait.

105, 110, 121, 122, 124, 126, 127, 135, 136, 144

[identity profile] masterfedora.livejournal.com 2008-11-18 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
105: Much love for this

110: LOL! I think I was Dib...or maybe I was Zim.

121: This broke my heart. I hope life affords you more pleasures soon.

122: I surprisingly loved this movie. A friend dragged me to see it and it was hilarious. It made me want to LARP! I actually came close to being part of the SCA but due to time restraints and distance I didn't stay. Oh and yeah that scene got me teary too. It makes me want to call my parents and thank them for never discouraging my interests.

124: That made me laugh far too much.

126: I think this show, WKRP and NewsRadio are the reason I still want to work in radio, even if reality is probably lacking. XD

127: Y'know every time I think my kinks are freakish and bizarre, something like this comes along and makes me feel a little less...freakish and bizarre. Thank you so much OP.

135: You could be me. I could be you. Sex in the City doesn't even remotely seem like the kind of show I'd like but I really did. I agree with this secret completely.

136: I think you're confused as to what child free means. I also think you should seek professional help.

144: I'm sorry I wasn't listening. I was too busy reliving that scene and drooling. Mmmm...half naked Cuddy.

133

[identity profile] overandoverture.livejournal.com 2008-11-18 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
I hear you! I love horror. I watch horror films all the time, Halloween has always been my favorite holiday (blame being an autumn baby), have acted in a haunted house, blah blah blah. But that movie actually had me (a 22-year-old man) curled in a ball on the couch, peaking through my fingers, clinging to my little sister, and screaming. Scary fucking shit. D:

[identity profile] sparklywalls.livejournal.com 2008-11-18 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
130. It's ok, I even cried at the end of the book. But the film is worse. The song and the ending when Hazel flops over onto his side to die? I become an emotional wreck!

# 136

[identity profile] marlyg.livejournal.com 2008-11-18 12:27 am (UTC)(link)
136. Wow. It is incredibly sad that there are people like you in the world.

Childfree =/= getting a kick out of seeing children (or mothers) hurt. You get a kick out of seeing children (or mothers) hurt.

You're a pretty sick individual.

125, 134

[identity profile] danyellalot.livejournal.com 2008-11-18 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
125: Haha, I love that show for some reason (schadenfreude, possibly?).

134: OP. YOU NEED TO DE-ANON RIGHT NOW. *totally ships them too*

134

[identity profile] justaminuet.livejournal.com 2008-11-18 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
NOT OP BUT AGREED SO HARD. Seriously, that makes... *counts the people who ship including OP* about five of us. I HAVE BEEN IN SMALLER FANDOMS.

fact: more people would be outraged by this secret if it were about women.

Yeah, I guess that's why not a single comment has been posted in support of this secret, amirite?

113. Nice to know I don't exist. Do you actually know any real men? I'd find the complete reverse to be just as offensive (Men never tell the truth, ever), but it'd be a bit more awkward. Almost every guy I know lives and breaths secrets, abotu their cock size, about how many partners they've had, etc. If you don't believe they have secrets, you'd just never known a guy well enough to have him admit that he cried through Forrest Gump. Some men just don't reveal their secrets as easily as women do because people like you will mock or not believe them. (And some do reveal them easily; people are not all the same.) But all men have them. So, basically. Go die in a fire.

(Anonymous) 2008-11-18 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
Word. And likely, they probably don't know many men.

Also, this made me laugh a little, since my brother cries during Forrest Gump every time.

Who, what or why are they?

I have a sudden interest in knowing more, and it has nothing to do with the red head. No way. ... Who is he?

I bet you're also the sort of person who asks drug addicts why they don't "just stop".

Never mind the fact that maybe - MAYBE - some people actually enjoy smoking and consider the health risks a viable trade off? Oh, wait, now we're just getting silly.

134

[identity profile] enjolras.livejournal.com 2008-11-18 12:41 am (UTC)(link)
134. I'm... not really a fan of Takagi/Miyoshi, but that shouldn't stop you from joining the comm. If anyone dislikes you for your fandom interests, then that's kind of lame.

[identity profile] velvet-mace.livejournal.com 2008-11-18 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
105) What happened with 8 has angered me to tears, and I'm not gay. I seriously thought we were past this kind of narrow minded non-scriptural bull crap. Gay rights needs a Malcolm X to stand up for it and say, no more.

113) WTF? Okay, maybe thinking a particular secret wasn't made by a man because men only comprise about 5 percent of fandom on LJ might barely pass muster. But your reasoning? WTF, prejudice much? Way to insult half the fucking population, genius.

121) Let them know, even if you don't want to burden them. They want to know that you need to be held.

123) The little matchstick girl is the saddest most infuriating story ever. I mean here she is, bereft of everything, alone and unloved on Christmas, and no one comes to her rescue. When dying is the best option for someone who was healthy and had the whole future ahead of her, that really is an ugly, ugly vision of the world.

131) Bwah? Dump her and go watch the Daily Show -- Jon Stewart is Jewish and a hell of a lot funnier.

136) I just hope you don't hate real women as much as you do fake ones.

WTF, todays secrets really made me angry.

105. Yay!

107. It doesn’t matter how you found it as long as you watch it! That’s what I think. :D

109. Awww, cute.

113. What?! Lame! Lame secret! I’m a woman and I find that LAME!

128. Oh, if only that were possible… I’d definitely fuck Ben Folds’ voice.

140. I don’t know if I’d call it deep… but it was definitely my favorite.

Holy Balls, a lot of people were doing it wrong today.

[identity profile] velvet-mace.livejournal.com 2008-11-18 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
Actually, LOL, it looks like one person doing a lot of secrets wrong. Sorcererhunter?

Congratulations, USA, your language is the de facto language for international communication and your citizens can travel around the world with a much higher probability that wherever they are someone there will speak their native language than what it would be were that language any other. That also means that it can't be assumed that people who speak English are from the USA. (And seriously, just look at the name of the language... It doesn't say "USA" to me.)

Now STFU and live with it.

I must've missed that one. I didn't check fandom secrets there for awhile, though I went back and read a whole bunch. I still missed it. Link? I want to read the wank it caused.

Also, it pisses me off too.

It happened just last week: http://community.livejournal.com/fandomsecrets/217259.html -- secret 107 is the culprit.

The wank was epic. That post has over 1700 comments, more than half of them have to be responses to that secret.

125 - This is one of my fears. It would be difficult to explain that I wear men's clothes for a reason other than ease and comfort.

125 OP

THIS.

And OH GOD the mental images of them making fun of my binders and packie on national TV...

117.

[identity profile] gethenian.livejournal.com 2008-11-18 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
117. ...Rue? Saundra? Ellie? WHO AAAAARE YOUUUUUU? I bet we've met before.

120. APOCALYPTICA FOR THE WIN and yeah that video rocks. Know what else rocks? I love that I can use that video to explain to people how Bosmer eyes are supposed to look. Play Morrowind, elves with black eyes, who are cannibals, they win.

121. Maybe you'll grow up...?

130. Ditto. And jesus I love that song.

136. Are all CFers mentally ill, or just the ones who like, say anything online EVER?

145. If you drink alcohol, eat out of plastic containers, consume anything with artificial ingredients, or do anything else unnatural and un-PC, you're just as guilty. Get over yourself.

136

[identity profile] ms-uberwald.livejournal.com 2008-11-18 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
I think the sane CFers just don't bring it up as much since they're secure enough in their own choices not to get defensive, and recognize that in many online situations, whether or not you have kids (and the reasons why) are completely irrelevant to the discussion.

113

(Anonymous) 2008-11-18 01:24 am (UTC)(link)
Stfu and go back to the kitchen, whore.

There are no girls on the internet.

[identity profile] floriatosca.livejournal.com 2008-11-18 01:33 am (UTC)(link)
I'm a feminist and I love 19th century Italian opera unironically. Your average Bond girl probably has it better than your average Puccini heroine.
