Well, unless you hear a Japanese person say it (and maybe even so), it's hard to get the intonation right just from how it's spelled. It's like English in that respect, and most of us aren't skilled enough with pronunciation representations of words to figure it out on our own. Still, you can figure out what's definitely wrong and what sounds kind of right but with a funny accent.

I don't know what the OP is talking about, though. If I say "yaoi" quickly, it sounds like "yowee."

While we're on the topic, I'd also like to add that being bisexual doesn't mean you're simultaneously going to be dating a guy and a girl. That's what we call polyamory. Believe it or not, it's possible to be bisexual and be in a loving, committed relationship with one person and still identify as bisexual. Just because I've been living with another woman for the past four years doesn't make me a lesbian (although, I don't find myself as attracted to men as I used to be, but that's a story for another time...).

Yeah - speaking as someone who is both poly and bi, while they are overlapping sets, they only overlap - one's not a subset of the other. And it's been my experience that more bi guys are poly than bi girls, much to my sorrow.

114. I feel the same way. Okay, I've read more than one issue, but I haven't gone back and gone through all of the TP's yet--need to pace my spending. But I loved what I was reading. It felt so good to have some Blue Beetle again, and it really was brilliantly done, balancing his family, his friends, his banter. It felt like Spiderman, if Peter had had a more extensive family unit and a better sense of trust.

160. I knew it was going to happen. It was cute, and sweet, and a fresh idea, and therefore, no one liked it. :/ It just makes me so angry, because I loved it so much. It helped me out of my depression last year, and it really means so much to me...but then again, Bryan Fuller has never had the luck of making a very long lasting show. He's just too ahead of his time, I think.

Have you ever been to this community? rwsues It makes life tolerable for those of us who don't like Sues in the YST fandom. Plus, some of the revues are nearly guaranteed to make you pee yerself.

The worst part about this fandom is the people who rave over the "awesome" Sues 8B I want to punch them all.
