Judging by the fact that a guy at my school is auditioning for a part in the next series I'm pretty damm sure it's going to continue.

I only share the same feeling as you, dear poster, about "17 Kids and Counting". Jesus fucking Christ people like that piss me off! Why would anyone want more than 3 kids? Even unnecessarily large families stop at about 10!
On that note I feel that "Jon and Kate Plus 8" somewhat on a different playing field. Their reason for so many was innocent and a product of science! They were aiming for 3, not 8 (two sets of multiples).Kate was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome. They used intrauterine insemination which slightly increases the chance of multiples (usually twins). Their out look is also different than 17 & Counting. People ask them what kind they used so they can have sextuplets they simply usually in a manner of "Why would you do that to yourself?!"

Yeah, btw if you couldn't tell I am an avid watch J&K+8 <3 I also realize I can't change your opinion on the subject. I just needed to get all that out.

Actually, my opinion of Jon and Kate Plus 8 has... modified, although I can't say outright changed. :) I'm kind of :| towards fertility treatments of that sort in general (the kind that usually trigger multiples, usually LOTS of multiples) and sadly Jon and Kate are a very, very public example of them.

Did they try IVF?

I'm curious as to what your friend said about them, because I ship them in the sense that I think they have an awesome dynamic between them and I like to explore it from all angles, sexual or otherwise.

Thank you so much for posting this. Nicholas D. Wolfwood was my hero growing up. I had issues regarding religion because I saw it as 'losing myself.' He showed me that you can have faith and still be you - even if that includes toting a pimp ass cross gun. Or something. Basically, that you can believe in God and still be badass. I don't know if that's what you mean. It probably isn't. I like your secret regardless. :)

107. I actually really like Jon and Kate. The Duggars creep me out, but J & K didn't intend to have so many children, it was just something that happened when they were getting fertility treatment. They're not the same situation at all because they're not just popping out one after another, they got all six at once. As far as J&K go I tend to think they probably need the money more than the Duggars, since their children aren't raising each other (and so Kate stays home with them) and since they seem to actually struggle with finances of caring for so many children. Jon and Kate aren't going to have any more, so their having a show has nothing to do with encouraging irresponsible behavior.

It's one thing to pop kids out over and over and over, but when you suddenly find yourself with 6 fetuses and the option of selective removal, the decision becomes something different. It's not about restraint or being responsible, because they are already all conceived and are your children. It's not a decision to avoid having so many children, it's deciding which of your babies get to live and which you are willing to terminate. I understand Jon and Kate's decision not to remove any of their children when they accidentally ended up with six (while trying for 1) far more than I understand the Duggar's decision to just never use protection or methods to avoid pregnancy because they feel every one of their tiny little clonebot children are a Miracle.

123 - DO IT. IT'S INFECTIOUS FUN. Plus it's honestly funny and makes you feel all warm and happy on the inside. I mean, Colin Morgan is just a-freaking-dorable as Merlin. Idec, it's my guilty pleasure. yay.

167 - You do understand that a female playing Pirelli was only done in the revival, right? In the original production, Pirelli is played by an OPERATIC tenor. In fact, one of my professors of voice at school played him in the televised concert versions (one from San Francisco with Patti LuPone, George Hearn, Davis Gaines, and Neil Patrick Harris). I find it laughable you call yourself a theatre purist when you only look to the most recent adaptation (which tinkered CONSIDERABLY with the story-telling/ideas/staging/orchestration of Sondheim's original piece.) In fact, I would argue it was written for an operatic tenor in honor of the type of flamboyant character he's supposed to be. In most productions, the judge and Pirelli are played by actors with operatic training whereas the rest are more musical theatre. Using a tenor, a voice type DESIGNED to show off/play romantic leads and win ladies hearts, he made a statement about the character as being a showman. In fact, I severely DISLIKED a female playing the role in the revival because it took away from that layer, but ah. To each their own. Just try to actually know something about a show before you call yourself a 'purist'.

170 - NOT PATHETIC. NOT AT ALL. That scene in the church made me SOB the first time I saw it. Trigun was the first anime that really made me realize how fantastic of a medium it can be. God, Wolfwood is one of my favorite characters of all time. lol I don't even have words, I would fangirl over Trigun for ages.
