140. I don't oppose the creation of the community per say, but refusing to affiliate with a slash community is taking the "safe heaven" label kinda far. They could always put warnings next to affiliated slash communities so the members aren't surprised. It's all Merlin. I don't see why they opposed the affiliation; slash communities and het/gen communities affiliate all the time. Nonetheless, the owners can do what they want with the community. There isn't much that can be done.

165. I do feel bad for all the negative talk about Cortese. I'm not sure that the entirety of the blame can be put on the "crapass story" but a combination of poor casting selection and lackluster scenes/lines has placed Cortese in a role where she doesn't have a chance to live up to the character's legacy or her own potential. The character was more interesting in season three where question of her motives was still in high debate and her actions were independent of the Winchesters. She seems like more of a tagalong to me these days.

Katie Cassidy just put more energy into the role and did a lot with facial expressions (an attribute of her acting that allowed her to switch to "Lilith" seemlessly) that GC has completely failed to do. It was a bad casting choice, no doubt, but I don't think the writing has really changed much from S3 and there's still the question of Ruby's motives in wanting Sam to use his powers but it's no longer a central theme.

I don't blame GC completely. She was poorly cast -- she's more good girl than demon, even on a show (Wildfire) where she's supposed to be an ex-wild child who did things like drugs and stealing cars. Plus, Katie Cassidy did the role so well it'd be hard for anyone to live up to her portrayal. She gave the character layers GC just isn't living up to.

I don't watch the show so I can't tell you if she was eating fertility drugs like Cheetos to have 8 kids in 2 pregnancies, but it's not like they kept going until they had 8 consecutively like the Duggars.
