106. I totally sympathize. I already know I'm not going to be "allowed" to like the movie in at least one of my friend's books, so I'm becoming less and less enthusiastic about it the more I hear about it. Ugh, elitist comic fans. Even if I were to like it I'd probably have to listen to all the reasons I liked it bitched about, because that's what happened with TDK. I'm sorry, ladies, I don't hate female characters on default.

106- Call your brother out on the fact that it's A novel. Not plural. And go see it and LOL at the elitist.

128- You are abnormal...just like I am abnormal in the opposite direction. Maybe not unhealthy or sick, but not normal. The problem with those girls (Which is NOT a problem with you) is that they are presented as the healthy norm, and while YOU may be healthy and have that kinda body (Which I do believe because my cousin and aunt are the same and I've seen them pack some big meals away), most of them are not, and most people can not get that body type while being healthy.

You are very lucky that you got the awesome skinny gene (And probably hate it, lol I know the pain in other areas) but you are an abnormality. Just a lucky one. The problem is that that image is not presented as an abnormality.

141- I'm holding judgment but it doesn't look well. Even from a not yaoi fanpoint, she seems like such a stuck in character who's not...I don't know. necessary. I like the idea of another female, causer Larxene kicks butt, but so far she's seemed like...IDK. Pointless.

148- Uhm...I do quiet often refer to someone as "The blond one" or stuff like that. It's not bad unless you abuse it.

165- I love him, and I still lost respect. And yes, I've studied Scientology more then Anonymous/South Park (I even read part of Dianetics. Which might I add is the ONLY religious book I know of that's officially shelved in the Sci-fi section). Try studying it and you'll see where she's coming from.

106. Read the book and go see the movie. I'm pretty fed up with the knee-jerk "oh you're not a true fan if you didn't know about the book before the trailer" newbie hate from old school fans. The Watchmen fandom on lj is pretty open and friendly to new fans, more so than Random Comic Book Message Board #268.

I'm exactly the same way. I ship and write about the two main guys of my cop drama story, even though it's not cannon in the story. I love my own characters way more than any show, movie etc, etc. I don't think it's arrogant, I'm not pimping it out to anyone else or bumming on real life fandoms, it's just in my head lol.
