117. This secret made me LOL only because I am a Cosplayer who's one semester away from completing my BFA in theater. Maybe I should start carrying my headshot and resume to conventions. LMAO. XD

135. See, this is the kind of thing I don't get. I consider fandom to be the same as any other hobby, like being actively involved in sports teams and whatnot. So to me, this made as much sense as going 'Yay, I finally gave up knitting, the horrible life-sucking drug that it is!' I don't know, maybe for you fandom was unhealthy, but I think for most people it's the same as any other past time. This strange hierarchy of hobbies, being that painting your body in support of a sports team being acceptable and writing fanfiction is not, really baffles me. What baffles me most of all is that so many people buy into it. The whole point of a hobby is not how productive it is, but how much you enjoy it. So going 'my hobby is less time-waste-y than yours' makes absolutely no sense at all. Like what you, and let others do the same. I guess it all stems from the basic human need to feel better than someone else, anyone else?

tl;dr: Lighten up, it's just fandom.

If you were that obsessed I guess it's good you're not in fandom anymore but for plenty of people the Internet does count. But don't let other people sway your opinion or make you feel like you can't profess your fandom love. It was a great, fun, exciting movie. I think people legitimately forgot that the original Speed Racer was the corniest, cheesiest piece of anything ever. What else would they have expected from a film?!

And if it makes you feel somehow justified in your opinion (in your loving of the film) the movie guy from Time magazine named it one of his 10 best movies of the year. So don't worry, you're not the only one who loved it! <3

104. XD Oh, dude, I was talking about a possible Zelda film on my LJ YESTERDAY. It'd definitely need a decent budget, particularly for SFX - otherwise, it'll look DODGY. The cast would have to be fantastic, too. The story is a bit trickier, since, well, they're video games. Watching someone in a movie running around for several hours going through dungeons would be kinda dull, so either you'd need to use something EPIC LIKE WHOA like Twilight Princess and just cut the dungeons and temples out a bit, or rework the plot slightly so that it fits a more traditionally-film plotline. Or just do an original storyline set in Hyrule with the same characters *shrug*

For example, the original beta for Twilight Princess had an all-out battle between Bulbins and the Twili, which would be... tricky, game-wise, but FUCKING AWESOME on film XD

...This is a bit long, so I'll just say ZELDA FILM, FUCK YES!!

This so much. While I respect that Catherine Tate should be able to leave the series whenever she wants, I still think the way she was sent off was absolutely horrible. Rose gets her very own Doctor-lookalike, and what does Donna get? Less than nothing. Damnit, RTD. :\

(I still want the Doctor to come back and fix her and take her adventuring again. I'm reminded of a crossover fic I found a while ago where Sirius Black fell through the veil into the Whoniverse and took the Doctor and Donna to Dumbledore to remove her timelord memories, but I don't seem to have bookmarked it. :( Can anyone relink me?)
