131 -- Just... tell them! People change their views all the time. it's fine if you ship them now. Maybe they are what will get you into similar things. Really, it's no big deal that you suddenly like something you always mocked. (I was the same with mecha anime.)
134 -- No, I agree. My rl friends who like Twilight and pine after Edward have shown that they are indeed VERY immature in love matters, even though they have had numerous boyfriends.

I get mocked for liking mecha anime, and honestly, about five years ago I couldn't see myself watching it, until I did and realized that realtype mecha shows are the only anime that can come across like hard ethical science fiction, or have any real politics to them. I like to watch shows like Gundam and draw historical parallels to past events.

tl;dr I wish more people realized that mecha anime is about more than just robots.

174. I think it depends on the kind of fan. The characters in Watchmen are pretty complex. Even he had his heroic moments. It's all a matter of acknowledging the horror of some of the things he did, but still loving how he was written and certain things he stood for. Unashamed condoning or blind hero worship can be disturbing though.
