There's some great manga artists that have unique styles, but those are more the exception to the rule. That doesn't mean other mangaka don't have any interesting stories to tell trough the same medium. Also, someone like Nightow might have a cool artstyle, but if his storytelling is terrible, what's the point? I'd rather have a well written, plainly drawn story then one that looks cool but DOESN'T MAKE ANY FUCKING SENSE.

Someone pointed out that that could've happened to any of us - we were once the most emportant person in the universe and then just forgot. :/ I never liked the Catherine Tate show, but as soon as I saw the first episode with her, I love her. (Still, will miss the Tenth Doctor just as much.)

145. - My brother and I thought it was the best movie of the summer. I had my roommate watch it, and she went out and bought it right away. You're not the only one who luvs it. It's amazing, exciting, and FUN. My only complaint was that the little brother got a bit annoying toward the end. Also, my brother and I still think they stole the raceing scenes from F-Zero racing. I mean, the tracks and cars are so simmilar!

* A prolific writer (either writes huge stories or writes lots of oneshots)
* Who is awesomely talented in his/her area of expertise (a particular fandom, character or 'ship, usually)
* Peppering every known fandom archive -mainstream and otherwise- with his/her stuff
Be more likely to make one a BNF?

*shrug* I suppose it also depends on the fandom.

130 - Me, I'm still holding out hope that it'll "all make sense in the end." Of course, I have no idea when "the end" is or whether or not I'll LIKE that ending, even if it DOES make sense, but I'm still throwin' away my money every time a new issue comes out. I can't bring myself to read the scanlations, but I think I'm already partially spoiled. But in a way, my lack of understanding makes me want the new issues to come out faster, because CLAMP still has the ability to throw me for a loop like that. I think I've actually learned from xxxHolic and Tsubasa-- plus I've gotten all kinds of awesome ideas for crossovers. :}

Fuck yes. Fuck. Yes. Where is the fandom?! I don't know, it makes me sad, though. They're so amazing and I was just talking about them recently on my IJ, because more people need to read them. There's so much more thought put into the actual processes involved in magic, the moral situations are way less hypocritical or one-sided, and the characters are both better developed and represent different racial & gender situations that HP conveniently ignores. I love them and wish there was a fandom, particularly since I recently started re-reading them. I would love to play Kit in a RPG somewhere, or even Tom or Carl.

Kudos to a fantasy book where the heroes have their parents & siblings and don't hate them/aren't abused by them, and in which they aren't growing up completely devoid of useful guidance or appropriate, GOOD adult role models. Lordy. Kudos to a series where the emphasis is actually about working together and getting along, rather than the strongest character beating everyone else into submission.
