I absolutely cannot stand Zutara. At all.

But to be fair, I do get and understand the appeal of it. I actually used to like some of the stuff that fandom produced until the last bit of season 3 and the finale came out. Then it just got unbearable and everytime someone mentions the ship now I cringe because it no longer represents a fun ship or an interesting alternative to the canon, but one whose basis seems to be built on degrading canon and ridiculing Aang and Mai.

The fans saw what they wanted and exaggerated it.

The canon relationships (particularly Aang and Katara's) were built on things like communication, friendship, unconditional love, etc. And while unfortunately the fandom has deemed those things out of fashion. I found them refreshing and wonderful.

I wouldn't consider that too weird. Then again, I find the man in my icon (Kiefer Sutherland) to be quite possibly the hottest man in this universe, and everyone says he looks just like my dad. *shrug* But then, I can just blame that weirdness on the fact that my dad wasn't around very much during my childhood, which explains why I have a preference for older men to begin with. :)

So no, it's not weird. And yes, Hugh Laurie is pretty damn sexy.
