Sadly, I believe this to be very true.

124

[identity profile] mands-leanan.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't cry, but I was upset that it happened. And I was annoyed that someone who bitched constantly about humans destroying the earth could be so irresponsible as to send the last member of a species into a fight where it would certainly be killed.

109: lol at that particular acronym!
110: um.
116: wow.
123: that really sucks. Maybe you should say something despite her being super popular? I dunno. Hahaha I fail epically at advice
126: hey I think I know that dude but isn't he a scientologist?
129: D=
136: yeah some make sense and some are confusing. I assume the green he is pete wentz? XDDD
149: O_o erm, yeah. That is creepy. I don't get that whole "ooh I saw a girl she was so pretty I'm in love now" yeah she could be a murderer for all you know. XD

136. Sometimes it confuses me too... Even if the first use of the "color" had a same-color circle around the character, it would be so much better!

137. Hanners needs some non-sexual, non-sticky, non-dirty, non-touchy love.

130. Way to make me ship my Astro prof and his favorite asterims ;D

165. I’ve been there too. But if you don’t let your friends know in some way that you care about them beyond the superficial, how will they know it’s safe to reciprocate?

118 - I alllllllllways do that too. but I rarely find any =(

124 ME TOO. especially cause whatever it bled on started growing moss and flowers and vines and leaves, it was so beautiful. it killed me. I really really love that movie, but every time I see that thing die it hurts.

140, I am very worried you're right. maybe not, though - shit, the whole flash-forward thing last season blew me the fuck away and I absolutely did not see it coming.

125. That = me and my two best friends, who are a couple. SEE, IT IS IN FACT POSSIBLE IN REAL LIFE.

135. YES.

136. I've had this problem too, anon. XD

123, you've made me very curious.

135, there are other people who play Darcy besides Colin Firth?

148, you're a pervert, but that's okay.

169, agreed.

If people have to use adjectives to explain what "mood" Blitzwing is in, I can tolerate that. It's a much finer line when people touch on the subject of whether or not he's got some kind of multiple persona going on. @.@; I've seen authors write it and pull it off somewhat, but as time passes I find myself preferring the theory that he just goes through rapid mood swings. BLITZWING DOES THINGS EXTREME. 8D

145, 160

[identity profile] big-ringer.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 06:34 am (UTC)(link)
145 - You aren't the only one. I wouldn't mind it if comic writers realize that grim-n-gritty =/= strong literature, but now, 95% of super-heroes are angsty, and most of them shouldn't even be. The whole point of Robin is to keep Batman from being too grim, for gods' sake!

160 - Yeah, I was surprised that Wall-E got beat out by Kung-Fu Panda at the Annie Awards. I'm not really that upset, considering that in the past several years, Pixar has swept up at the Oscars and the Annies, so it's just a reminder that you can't win 'em all. I still think "Best Animated Feature" is a lock, though.

122. Why so ?

Ahhhhhhhhhhahahahha. So, I love Matt like supercrazy, right? (Yeah Mello in it, I don't like him so I don't remember his parts; sorry!) BUT, I see the secret and my VERY first thought jumps to - THIS (http://www.pixarcars.tv/assets/images/cars-snot-rod.jpg). I think I have problems. D:

Not even close to the same make, which was my double-take, but... XD Challengers are hotter. *FLEE* XD <333

Anyho, I actually drove a 68 camaro back in the day (ok not that long ago), I hate stick shifts, but they are SEXY SEXY SEXY cars. GL OP! :D

103) Well written OC's are love. I especially love bad-guy OCs. Why do so many writers neglect to put in a bad guy in their fics?

110) Oh I do that too... only without the Miley Cirus. For some reason I need silence while I write -- otherwise it distracts me from writing what the voices I hear in my head. Honestly, this is less psychotic than it sounds. But I mean the Threesome, I've written that one. It wins hardcore, especially when written hardcore.

122) So "stop insulting my interests, you cunt" is your message. Kinda let go of your moral authority there, didn't you.

149) All you have to do is get it close enough and write engagingly. Your audience is pretty much exclusively women anyway.

153) I've noticed that brit TV has been trying very hard for some time to be racially diverse, to the point were it seems that no one can date someone of their own race. But honestly, there's a second reason -- The new cast is much prettier than the old one. Especially Anna, but also Mitchell. The first Mitchell has a kind of rockstar appeal which is nice, but the second one looks like he's been scraped right off the cover of romance novel. In fact, I'm guessing that the show is trying to catch the Twilight bandwagon and appeal to young women.

159) I find it very hard to take a writer seriously if they cutesify the big bad. I know it's a writer-power thing: They are stronger than (fictional) evil. By bowlderizing a bad guy, they can make him sanitized and safe and something one can hug like a stuffed animal, kind of like Monster's Inc. But at that point, everything that bad guy ever had going for him is lost to me and I simply can't imagine enjoying their fic. I'm a grown up. I don't need it.

166) they live on in AU's. And they live better.

I've read that threesome of yours, as well as a lot of your other fics. ^_^ And mine was most definitely written hardcore, despite the soundtrack. ._.;

101: Oh bollocks - why not have some fun, undignified squee once in a while? :¬D

135: I agree, but he was adorable as Arthur Clennam in "Little Dorrit". :¬)

140: I hope it isn't, though - fingers crossed!
153: I hope that's not the case, as that would piss me off hugely - although maybe it could be looked at as all they've done is make two characters British and one Irish, although that might be splitting hairs. However, I get the impression that the recasting might be more about casting "hotter, sexier" actors (because we all have different takes on what's hot/sexy), which would piss me off just as much. However, I love this series so far, and George, Mitchell and Annie (George especially...) are adorable.

[identity profile] akai_senshi.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 09:06 pm (UTC)(link)
103. To be honest, me neither.
106. Best secret wording ever. You sly dog.
115. When “Mary-Sue” is “Any female character I don’t like”, I agree. But when it’s a girl that makes the entire story revolve around her because she’s just so much BETTER than everyone else…yeah. That’s the bad part. She makes the story unbalanced.
121. Oh, me too. You’re not alone.
138. *hugs*
158. Aww. *hugs* Maybe you could get it published in a journal of some sort?
169. OH HELLS YES. I like well-treated (and numerous!) female characters in my slashable series, thankyouverymuch.

101: Oh I agree. What is it about the boys that makes us just want to squeak?

105: Ford Cortina from Life on Mars?

131: Oh don't feel perverted! That said, they've long since given up asking me what I snicker about.

144: Indeed!

153: I'd say it was to do with casting conflicts - Andrea went off to do the Devil's Whore, and.. Hm. I'm not sure actually, I like the new ghost. Can't decide betweent he two vampires - they bring different things to the role. Like both their voices.

i have really great friends, but sometimes i think the exact same thing. i'd do absolutely anything for them, but i really don't feel like i am as important to them as they are to me.

Wow...they all came out of the woordwork today! (In a good way)

[identity profile] 12gatsunohime.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 07:15 pm (UTC)(link)
108--That's so strange, because in my case it was Edgeworth...Edgeworth and a little bit of Franziska (just not in the crazy psycho way)

110--I once wrote military-uniform dom/sub creative use of a katana porn while listening to Caramelldansen. Weird.

111--So do I. It's okay. Sometimes you just have to accept the fact that people just don't understand sometimes. If it helps you the way it helps me, then be thankful for it. Blessings come in strange forms sometimes.

121--That's always been the way I do it. I agree wholeheartedly. It's just hard to explain to my friends, who go by the "I know it's wrong" rule.

122--Yes.
(Really, though. I honestly think these people just need something to hate. There's not really much anyone can do about it...)

127--Okay yeah I agree with the secret, sure. What really made me laugh was the "we put a car in yo car" thing...for some reason I'd never seen that before. Thanks for making me die laughing!

129--You wanna know something...I think I used to back when I was playing superstar saga...

136--First let me say that I totally agree with the arbitrary colors being all confusing. But...what first went through my head when I scrolled down and saw the top of the image:

--oh my god, somebody actually made a Malice Mizer secret!.
Then I read the top.
--...wow. That's not bad, actually...Wouldn't mind that dream...but where was Kami?
Then I read the rest of it.
--oh. I get it now.
I feel so dumb...but now I can't get that image out of my head...

138--Ahahaha..yeah. Me too. It sucks.

144--Nice pens. And while I've lived in America long enough to have seen my share of grammar issues and start to just ignore them, I agree that the subjunctive doesn't get near enough use.

151--OH MY GOD MRS. WHITE! She wasn't my first girlcrush, but she was one of them. And yeah, physical contact doesn't agree with me too well.

165--This made me very sad, because my group of friends used to have nicknames based on the LOTR characters...it kind of fell apart.

170--...Yeah, that's why I stopped being active in it, too. It's depressing.

Heh, that makes me feel loads better about my guilty little smut!song. ^_^

And a link to said Caramelldansen-inspired porn wouldn't go amiss--that sounds quite interesting. ;D
