I've been thinking about this exact subject all week; it's incredible how not-chill fandom and online in general (and offline!), truly is now. There's so many bitter people who are apparently allergic to fun and will be downright mean to total strangers over absolutely nothing. Anyway, I just, I don't know, it doesn't balance anything out but I hope everyone that reads this post has a good day and if it wasn't a good day today, I hope everyone has a better one tomorrow.

There was a great post on tumblr - Someone who had done iffy stuff in the past wrote something similar to "If someone reads something offensive I wrote 7 years ago, that post is still hurting people."

I think that person is correct; No matter what, if it's not being scrubbed, it still has the potential to hurt people.

THAT being said, dragging up shit just to drag it up is petty. What does someone really get from saying "this person did this shit 4 years ago" if it's clear they changed and moved on?

I really like happy-go-lucky minions in media who have other things going on in their lives! This looks like a pretty cute example of it!

Incidentally, I feel like I’ve recently seen some shows where those character types are killed off to raise stakes or bring in new plotlines - it can be done well, but forget them a scene or episode later and it’s a raw point for me.

Wow, she's still amazingly gorgeous even with the white hair. And she also looks just as badass as always. I could never get into this show (made it through 2 episodes and got bored), but I've always been interested in her as a character.

I think I already said this when it was originally a comment in the "secrets you want made" thread, but the second season of Emma is my favorite and Hans is the reason why. Hans's character in the anime made me root for Emma/Hans instead of Emma/William. I like the second season so much that I preordered it ages ago and I can't wait to watch it dubbed (and hear the amazing Dan Green as Hans).

Villain/hero is my jam too. And I want lots of the same fics. I'd also love some AUs where she knows who he is and is the one seducing him to get something out of him. And I'd also love fics where she joins him. Because I love all sorts of hero/villain dynamics. I even like redemption arcs, when it works, though I don't want it with this pairing. No woobifying, though, please. That's the one thing I hate.

The whole Red John arc made me fee like a masochist for WATCHING it. It seriously made less and less sense the further it went on; the show would've been WAY BETTER if they'd just LET IT GO and just been a fun episodic show.
