153: Lord, it wasn't great, but I basically agree with you - I thought it was an appropriate adaptation of HHGttG to the medium. Given how much it's changed between the previous three media (radio, TV, novel), I didn't think the changes were out of line, the gratuitous romantic subplot didn't derail the story, and gods help me, that's my favorite Marvin so far.

146. Heh. Similar thing with me. I started dyeing my hair red back in 7th grade because of Scully (I also wanted to be an FBI agent). It looked really awesome, and I kept it up for about 6 years... Then I stopped because I wanted healthy hair again.

It's not just you. Even if Ianto doesn't die in the line of duty for Torchwood, being in Torchwood is massively time consuming. In "Everything Changes", they get an early night off, at *9PM*. The possibility of orphaning your kids aside, if you had kids and were a member of Torchwood, you'd never see them.

If folks still want to write domestic fics of Janto, that's fine, I don't track down the fics I don't want to read and flame them, I'm too old to be pulling that crap on people. Just direct me to the shameless fansmut, please. How about more post "Small Worlds" comfort fic? That's where I see the relationship first getting physical IMO...

When I watched it I hadn't really looked into the fandom much, so was quite surprised when I finished Zeta, went looking for fic and found... very little.

I thought everyone would see the Quattro/Kamille. :(
