103. I think it has to do with how the subject had been presented to people. Like, no matter how fascinating a subject is, very few are going to be endeared to it after a crappy teacher and a crappier textbook. I personally love learning about history but I was temporarily soured towards the subject after having this terrible teacher.

Either way, I don't see how you're so bothered by it. I'm a chemistry major and I know that there are people out there who are bored to death by it or hate it. If there's a cute anime/manga that makes it fun to learn, more power to them.

Oh, I agree so hard. They have amazing chemistry. The paint scene was like the hottest thing ever. I highly doubt they will end up together in any capacity (especially after the way he pretty ran from her during 413), but I still love the dynamic between them.

139. Because she's bored as hell and wants to make the world a more interesting place? I found it fairly easy to relate to her existential crisis and issues of reality not measuring up (c'mon, who doesn't want espers, time travelers, and aliens to be real?) so I like her despite her bitchiness. Besides, you get her point of view pretty strongly.

117. I could never get into Fruits Basket, except for Tohru. My friends all fawned over every other character, but Tohru's strength, optimism and determination made her my favourite :) All admirable traits to work for, Secret Poster. Go you!

145. Aww, man, you know, I'm a horrible, horrible optimist sometimes and I didn't see the ending coming, or rather, even though it was alluded to, I refused to see it coming... My favourite character, even! *baaaw* I also have to say I'm jealous, Secret Poster, because people in my english class complained so much about having to read books (what?) that all we'd really do was watch movies.
