129. I loathe pubic hair >.> Nothing sets my gag reflex off like the thought of course, tangled hair 'round my naughty bits. But I also hate hairy men :P So I like to imagine everyone is perfectly hairless when naked except for eyebrows and what we normally think of as "hair".

I don't quite understand the counter-claim that not shaving is "awesome!". I mean, if you've got no problem with it, good on you, but a patch of hair that bits of toilet paper get stuck in isn't exactly what I'd call something to be especially "proud" of.

I can tell you I have NEVER waxed and will never want to do it. The pain just ain't worth it.

I shaved for awhile a long time ago. But, while it wasn't painful in that way, it was still a pain to have to do. It *itched* growing back in.

Enough have spoken on this that I don't feel I need to add much. Other than to say that I both ship and slash and honestly? I don't care for the actual sex scenes much these days as the sex itself isn't that interesting (even if well written). I'm in it for the relationships.

And honestly? I've yet to see a slash pairing where fandom unilaterally decides that one of the duo is always the 'bottom' and thus submissive and entirely OOC or unreal.

That said, this may have something to do with the fact I've no idea what all these Japanese words mean. I've seen them before but thought they were things used in anime and manga, thus yaoi was that area of fandom's version of slash and that the others were subsets of it? *goes off to research*

Yaoi is like hard-core porn usually and shonen-ai usually doesn't have more then kissing and maybe a few make-out scenes with nothing to graphic.
I usually can't stand Yaoi because of the whole uke/seme thing but most shonen-ai doesn't have that and usually has quite intersting plots to go along with the guy/guy relationship.

I hope that by "stealing" your ideas, you mean that you take inspiration from books and adapt the core concepts to suit your fandom. There's nothing wrong with that. It's how you grow as a writer, by disassembling ideas and trying the nuts and bolts in your own work.

But if you mean "stealing" as in sticking fandom characters into someone else's exact story scenario and thinking you're talented and smart? Then you ought to be ashamed of yourself.

117-I don't see her this way and I don't think she's being told off for being controlling, but I totally get where he's coming from. Not because I wanted her to get told off, but there are some truths she wasn't going to avoid. Batman set her up, using her to be herself (iow, cause problems but not be able to control that kind of situation), and I can see why Tim would want to just want her off the street. I also don't think it's about her controlling her, though. It's not a controlling boyfriend situation, imo, and he's not firing her.

GAH I agree so hard. I think Keith has a little more integrity and he's pretty good with... sports. But they're both biased, egotistical asshole when you get right down to it. Every time Keith bitches about O'Reilly I want to fly to New York and slap him. I usually agree with what Olbermann has to say, but that doesn't mean I want to get my news from him. And I also really hate it when I try to voice my opinions of dislike about him only to be hit back with: OH I GUESS YOU LIKE FOX NEWS. Fhgfjgj. 127. Well first of all, slash and "yaoi" are two different things altogether. Slash is meant to portray realistic (at least, as realistic as a fantasy relationships get... you don't see a lot of realistic het or femslash either -- romantic fiction period is meant to be a little idealized because it's fiction. People use it to escape from their everyday lives.) relationships. Yaoi is meant to have the seme/uke relationship. Sure, there's people who use the terms interchangeably, but they're not supposed to be used that way. Also, you say "get laid" as though all sex is good, all people want to have sex, and sex is easy to obtain in a safe manner.
