129. I epilate mine. It doesn't hurt after the first time or two. I honestly cannot remember the last time I saw a naked woman in front of me that had any pubic hair. Hair traps odor, and even if one bathes everyday, pubic hair still gets musty. (And before anyone comments about men, I expect them to at least trim and, ideally, to bathe before an encounter.)

And honestly, this is not meant to be offensive to anyone, but remember your demographics when asking a question. Fandom in general is filled with the specific type of lesbians and feminists who prefer to abandon any and all customs they feel are in any way perpetrated by the patriach, such as bras, shaving, etc. (Which is not to be judgmental of those who do so, merely stating a fact.) And let's not forget that the majority of fandom women are on the heavy side, which makes it more difficult for them to reach and/or see the whole area to begin with.

Also, culturally. In some cultures, women don't even feel it necessary to shave their armpits. Perhaps some shave their pubic hair and not their armpits, but it's not what one would expect. There are various hygiene expectations around the world.

I agree with you totally, and I'm a huge KO fangirl. (I'm watching him right now, as a matter of fact.) I call him the "Democratic Rush Limbaugh." He's totally biased, anyone can see that. I still love him to death and hate Limbaugh and O'Reilly, though. Not surprising. I love Keith's politics and hate Rush's and Bill's. I not only acknowledge the hypocrisy in that, I revel in it. :-)

As a gay man myself... shut the hell up. Yeah, we're trendy in fandom right now, for a whole long list of misogynist reasons, and yeah, that really sucks. But you're missing a couple key points here, buddy.

1. Yaoi is not slash. Fandom history: learn you some.
2. Yaoi is porn, and most all porn is fetishizing. I've got a collection of porn here, most of it made by fags FOR fags, and there's no way on earth you'll convince me that watching Timmy the Twink getting plowed by three gym queens is realistic or authentic or otherwise representative of these "real gay men" you seem to speak for. How is that any different than Steeleye-sensei manhandling the cute little blond clerk after hours?
3. Now if you want to get into a discussion of the relative merits and downsides of pornography in general, that's a whole different story. And yeah, the idea that every gay man ever is born with either a Cock of Justice or an ass that KY ought to stick a pipeline in is fucking annoying.
4. But that's not slash. Slash is reading a story, or watching a show, and seeing a relationship that isn't explicit. If two characters have chemistry that would make their relationship obvious were it not for the homophobia that forbids gay couples from being portrayed, they are slashed (as in Kirk/Spock) by fans. When you decide to use a term to yell at a whole group of people, make sure you've got the right term or it just makes you look like a moron.
5. And finally... when you decide to yell at a whole group of people for Doing It Wrong, do the slightest bit of research first and make sure the image you're using is one that makes your point. Neither Hakkai nor Gojyo is a weepy bottom boy.

Overall grade: B- for intent, D for execution.
