104. Yea, I don't get it either. It really takes a certain push for me to find genderswapping okay in a story or rp. Currently the only way I've done it and found it fun was playing in an rp with a friend have the character be transgendered...even then we tried to do some research about it and have a story and not "lol omg teh hot sex now he girly".
Even then I feel a little like I've done something weird though xp

I think it's fine that people like them, it's the rabid fangirls that make people want to hate Twilight lovers and the people who apparently decide Twilight is their REAL LIFE OMG (I have a friend like that and now I kinda see how she managed to get in a shit relationship...). No shame in liking a story though, even if a lot of people think it's crap. I couldn't make it through the 1st 5 pages, but then again I don't know many people who wouldn't like the books I read.

145. Don't worry, I have a lot of fandom phrases that I hate, but are so overused that they are impossible to avoid. I just sorta groan when I see them. I think the reason why those "conjoined" names would bother you would be because they make it like the person being shipped is nothing but half of a couple, and not an individual?
Also, I feel so bad for deformed animals :( When I see them, I get all worried wondering if they will survive.

Oh my God, that was my first-ever favorite game, too~! I lost it years ago after we moved out of my childhood home; I actually found a copy a few days ago at an Exchange store, but the disk was horribly scratched. I don't know if I ever shipped anyone, though. If anything, maybe VanxNoa, but I see her as too naive, really; it would be more of a "big brother, little sister" relationship, IMO. X3

I need another copy, too. My first one got too horribly scratched to play, since I didn't take great care of my games back then. Wish I could find another one, I seriously need to play it again.

Vahn/Noa was cute, but I mostly liked it because I reaaaaaally didn't want Vahn/Mei to happen. I love Vahn and Noa together but it's not really that important to me for it to be romantic. I was more a fan of Cara/Grantes- their relationship was so horribly dysfunctional and still, it was obvious that they loved each other and wonderful that they managed to work things out- and (obvious anon is probably obvious for admitting it, but) Zora/Cort, even though it was either totally one-sided or totally emotionally one-sided.

Looking at all the comments, I didn't know all of these people played this! It's great to see the Legaia love ~~and infuriating to see that all these people aren't out there making fanworks.~~

I honestly love Gundam Wing, it was the first anime I ever watched, I own all of it. The series, the movie, even the manga for before and after the entire thing!

Recently I've given Gundam 00 a chance, and I like it, I think it's worth it, yet my love for Wing has not diminished!

Heh, any time I read anything (that's not fanfic, of course), I try to cast it with actors I like. Just yesterday I was trying to work out a good ensemble for The Glass Menagerie. I think Sean Maher would make a great Tom Wingfield.

Cite your girly stuff that does this, please. I won't deny something like that occurs sometimes, but your description is so vague that it sounds like you really don't know any "girly" shows at all.

In the meantime, I'm gonna toss the anime/manga structure called the Tournament Arc at you. Slow building, punctuated by minor victories/plot progression, each successive one with more importance, until finally you have the big showdown. If the protagonist is fighting for a cause/all life on earth, the climax is usually followed by "this is the result of your winning" cuddling; if not, there's sometimes a "where are they now" epilogue anyway. Shonen fucking loves this structure. Now explain to me how this pacing, common in shows targeted to boys, is more like the generalized male sex experience than the female.

Also, you have personally heard multiple women make this grunt you speak of? Because it kinda sounds like bullshit.

While watching TV girls like lots of build-up and then lots of letdown, guys like things hard and fast, except when producers noticed people like comics that have more build-up so some male-intended TV shows have them now. PS Bjork sucks.
