105 - Oddly enough, I'm now nearing twenty years old, and I still hate them. I've hated them since I was a tiny little kid. I can distinctly remember finding them HUGELY irritating as an EIGHT YEAR OLD. If you like them fair enough - but OH MY GOD, I could not STAND those men... and I really don't know why... (And I'm the kind of person who should have liked them as a child - I'm a sucker for corny happy people, to this day. Apparently, not this pair, though).

162 - do half the people who actually watch? I'm British, so can't vote in American idol (obviously) but I watch all the British equivilants - the X-factor, Britain's Got Talent, etc etc... NEVER bother to vote.

You're right. Fandom should just forgive Andrei for killing off a beloved character for a hypocritical reason and stop hating him, after all, he was only being human! We can learn to love him if we try, I mean he's got SO many redeeming qualities!

Please. Also, in the vast majority of those cases, people are reacting that way because they already disliked those characters. I hated Lyle way before he ever punched Setsuna. People are going to bitch about things they dislike and bash characters they hate, it's a part of fandom.

Agreed about the vaginahate, but again, that's usually a part of fandom too. I just try to ignore the things about fandoms that I dislike and focus on the things I do, and to stop taking it so freakin' seriously, it makes for a much more enjoyable experience.

I don't have a problem with people not liking Andrei or Lyle or Marina. But when people try to say that Andrei was ENTIRELY in the wrong and Sergei in NO WAY contributed to seriously fucking that kid up. And Lyle was COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY EVIL for hitting Setsuna, irrational grieving excuses NOTHING. And Marina's job is SO easy and ANYONE could do it, that bitch is USELESS all she does is provide emotional support for Setsuna.

And the idea that bashing and hating a character is ok? No. Stfu. If you don't like a character, fine. Don't force your views all over other people on discussion threads. There are plenty of characters I don't like, but I don't go on bitching and moaning about it.

The same with vaginahate. The idea that bashing female characters for being female is just a "part of fandom" is disgusting.

I was in Geass fandom ever since the very first episode, and at least that fandom had some awesome to balance out the fail. 00 lj fandom has nothing. It's just a circle jerk of people still crying about Neil, hating on Lyle for not being a clone, hating on Marie and Soma and Marina and Louise and Andrei and Saji for being human, and complaining for the sake of complaining. I've been in plenty of fandoms, but this one is terrible, and I don't know if it's because of the Gundam franchise name or what but it. fucking. sucks.

I enjoyed it and I'm a craggy skull faced-GL/SK Erik fan. I'll NEVER say it's even close/same quality as any other version, but yea, there were parts I enjoyed.

My experience with the ALW Stage show was sucky as hell. The whole cast was mediocre and besides my glee to be there and my liking the music/story, I wasn't moved at all, (Well, the commercialism of the thing made me almost cry...but that's not what I mean)and didn't have any fun. I did watching the 2004 film. I know everyone else seems to have gotten the full experience, and maybe I'll get to see it again someday and have a goodtime, but truth be told, I can't claim it's a great version, because, well...mine sucked.

My point is I don't see how you can claim to dislike "elitists" then "boggle" at how anyone could like this movie.

137. ...what? Ignoring the fact that you find Brooke boring (we each have our own tastes and I find her the most entertaining of the group), this doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Maybe Haley and Peyton were friends longer, but Brooke and Haley are significantly closer. After Haley came back from the tour with Chris, there was basically an entire season dedicated to Peyton being a bitch to her. Meanwhile, Brooke and Haley were roommates and close friends. They've gotten past that now, of course, but I can't imagine that being constantly told by Peyton how she was a horrible wife and a horrible person didn't stick at least a little.

151. I hear you loud and clear, OP. I've had similar problems in fandom. It's all great until those friends' interests change or wane from the current one. And if I don't follow them into their new fandoms, they pretty much just stop talking to me. That said, though, I've finally managed to find a few good friends in one of my fandoms (we even went to a con together last summer so we could meet in person). And despite our changing interests, our friendship hasn't weakened because of them. So... when the chance comes, OP, don't be afraid to keep trying. You just might be surprised and glad that you did one day, like I was. There are people out there who are worth the time it takes to find them.

And, since I think it's relevant to your listed fandoms there through icons... the fandom that really brought me out of my hole and allowed me to trust in friendship again was Princess Tutu. That fandom is my home. And if you lurk there, OP, I'd encourage you to come out! :D
