If you want to watch the Star Trek trailer but don't want to see a movie, watch the trailer on Youtube. If you don't want to read the comic, then don't read the comic. And if anyone starts screaming at you because of what you do or do not read, treat them like the psychopaths they are and give them a reality check.

146. ~~*dark and gritty*~~ is the most superficial aspect of what one can take from Watchmen, but it's what the comics of the 90s took from it and then proceeded to drive it into the freaking ground. I have the same reaction to those kinds of EXTREEEEME INURFACE comics, which usually aren't as daring or as smart as they want you to believe they are.

I love him and I love HIMYM. Also, I ship Barney/Robin like burning.
And yeah, I get that you should hate the char but you don't, okay, I love him too; but what the fuck with the info that he's gay?
First: the actor's personal life doesn't affect his character. It's sad that people still care about this stuff, honestly. And second: I'm still trying to figure out what the hell you meant by that. You're saying that because he's gay he's not supposed to be good or...? Because, really, it didn't make sense to me, and I'm hoping you didn't mean that he should be less talented if he's gay. I'm hoping.

You do know it's whole purpose was to pretty much show how unheroic the 'dark and gritty' trend was. It may not be an out right parody but it is a deconstruction of the superhero genre.

I have no problem with you not liking it, if people are giving you shit for not liking it that's sad. And yes a lot of people so miss the point of Watchmen. Rorschach is not someone we're supposed to idealize people (and this is coming from someone that slashes him with Daniel).

It's really pastel colored and the art is as unremarkable and generic as comic art gets.
