#134 - WORD! I tried and tried, but couldn't find any sympathy for the characters or the storyline.

#137 - Agreed. He'll always be Cedric to me as well.

#155 - I'll not attempt Twilight, thax anyways. Moonlight left me annoyed and irratated with the 'forever wanting to be human vampire stitck again'. Had enough of that with Angel. Why oh why didn't Blood Ties get renewed?

153 OP

(Anonymous) 2009-03-23 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)
...damn, now I'm torn between wanting it to be read and not wanting to de-anon myself (since the fic did get another comment or two in between secret-making and secret-posting, and I feel bad for being such a whiner). Maybe in the next comment so it'll collapse?

114. You know, I wish more fics did find alternative ways...I feel like in my pairing the anal sex makes sense, but in the very few other fandoms I have read fics for the buttsex just doesn't mesh.

120. I need to..find this..

137. AMEN.

146. People who answer like that really do need to be smacked across the face :/

155. OMFG MARRY ME. Moonlight and Twilight are both two huge pieces of shit I swear.

101. This kinda makes me sad. It's a shame you have to pretend to like something you don't just for the sake of getting to know someone. At least you got a friendship out of it, I suppose.

113. THIS. Don't get me wrong, I love my females friends, but I'm pretty much the only "real" gamer among them. As in, Japanese RPG's aren't the beginning and the ending to all I enjoy (with some DDR and Rockband on the side). I'd like to talk about other games that caught my eye, or made me wish I never took it out of the bargain bin (Damn you, Red Ninja!). There's just so many times I can talk about Fran's ass. I mean, it's a great ass, no complain there, but really.

116. I shouldn't find this as humorous as I do.

148. You forgot "stronger."

139

[identity profile] chim-ka.livejournal.com 2009-03-23 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Columbo, Lord Vader and Mr. Bean in the same secret? I... I think I love you, OP.
But seriously, boy/girl: some of those guys are in serious need of good fic about them. Just go write some already. And start with Columbo. Pretty please.

102. I never knew about this, but, duh? I know the OP. Heh.

104. I love him with my bones, but... Real life > celeb crush. Really. :/

109. I don't think you're pathetic. I just think... You're kind of lost in RL. ._.

110. W-What? Why? O_O

118. I think everyone liked the movie ending better. It’s cool if they don’t, but you have to admit that it just made more sense.

123. D:

131. Oh lord, that’s just depressing. ;_;

132. IT BURNS.

138. I’m just going to say this: you are not alone.

141. I am so going to hell for bursting out laughing when I read this.

148. One of my lifelong goals has been to buy an arcade version of DDR. Sadly, I don’t think it will ever come true.

148 OP
OMG, ME TOOOOO. I've wanted one since I was 12. That was ten years ago. I still want one. (It's only $2,000, yeah?)

108, 133, 153

[identity profile] somatosensation.livejournal.com 2009-03-23 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
108: I don't see much point in it, either, honestly.

133: South Park fandom is AWESOME. Bunch of laid back people. Seriously. It's the one fandom I've been in where there was a lovely absence of fanbrats. My only complaint is that hardly anyone seems capable of writing Cartman correctly, and he's my favourite >:

153: That's the problem with writing fic because other people demand it. You may think you're doing them a service by writing something for their OTP, but fans are more picky than you realise. What you're writing may not be their cuppa, even if it is for their particular OTP. And it sucks that you put all of this effort into something, but I don't know. The writing seems to be more stiff if you're not doing it because you share their sentiments, or because you're doing it for the attention. It's obvious from your secret that you put a lot of work in writing this fic. Take pride in the effort that you put forth. Write because you want to, because it's something you feel a passion for, because you, too, want to see more of Character A and Character B. If they're an unconventional pairing, it's not really good to have the expectation that you're going to get more than just a few reviews. But, when you do, it's so much more rewarding.

I have a fic planned, currently, that's going to be rather long and the pairing is quite unconventional. But, I feel a passion for it, and I'm doing it because I want to. Not for the attention.

Hello, look at me ramble.

153

(Anonymous) 2009-03-23 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Thing is, I love these characters too; I write them because I want to write them, and because I have a story about them that I really want to tell. I'm not going to quit with this particular fic just because of the review count. I'm just a little disappointed because I spent a really long time on it, and it would have been nice if I knew more people were reading it.

113. Okay?

Also, just FYI, dividing women gamers into hardcores and stupid squeeing schoolgirls who only like one or two genres and obviously just aren't as cool is neither progressive nor helpful.

118. The fandom would shank you for it? Why? The movie ending was undeniably better. Too bad the rest of the movie was crap.

122. If you recognize that it's a fucking game then why do you indiscriminately think less of everybody who plays it? Get over yourself, you're no better than they are.

123. Really? Even the twenty-somethings who just go to movies for fun and then kind of forget about it and pick up the DvD and think fandoms are really rather weird and bizarre? Really? Because there are a lot of people like that, and it's sort of absolutely fucking ridiculous to extend your hate-on to people outside of the fandom.

131. Her family wrote her a memorial on her FF.N account...? What?

132. Admittedly, they're both pretty easy to woobify. At least, the JEH version of Rorshach where he is an awkward and emotional pocket-boy.

153. I'm sorry. That really sucks. I hope more people take notice.

132. Little Rorschach was adorable in the movie, too. While in the comics... my god was he an ugly kid.

114 - I've written non penetrative smut before, but it's easily my favourite thing to read. I find that a lot of non-penetrative sex fics just don't end up with the same level of "hot" as penetrative sex-- possibly because the authors themselves don't find it as hot? I don't know. But I've pretty much given up on 69 fics, for example.

Does it count as non-penetrative if there's only fingering?

Re: 114

(Anonymous) 2009-03-23 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I generally don't find 69 particularly hot because it usually just makes me worry, especially if it involves a guy. Maybe it's because so many orgasms in porn are really overblown, but I just feel like having your delicate bits in someone's mouth when they come is asking for pain.

Um...what? They only air it at odd times right now because it's the off season, but don't go dissing America because you didn't catch it when it was airing regularly in prime time. Think before you open your mouth.

Sorry, I just cannot stand it when people have so little pride in their own country. Especially over something so incredibly trivial.
