And why is it that everyone always assumes this with WOW and not other MMORPGs? 154. Yeah, this argument was stupid when fanboys told fangirls to stop whining about sexism in superhero comics, and it's still stupid. A) Because not every reader is a writer, B) Books take two years to get published after being accepted, let alone the writing time, C) You can complain and write.

It's like this: you hear your friend say something racist. Do you call them out on it, or pat yourself on the back because you're not racist and not say anything to them? Racism hasn't gone down because individuals decided independently of one another not to be racist-- racism has declined because people have spoken out against it.

And, um, I'm not the OP, but I don't think what they're doing is weird or stalkery. There have been plenty of people I've idolized in fandom, usually but not always BNFs, and I've really wanted to talk to them and analyze the fandom with them and become friends with them, but I've never been brave enough to. I don't know if I'd lie about shipping to get them to like me, especially because I'd suck at keeping all my lies in order, but I'd like to be brave enough to message them to talk about fannish things.

Is this normal? I hope I'm not weird and stalkery.
