... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and I'll try my best to use an appropriate image choice. Just to clarify - it's my intention to make all the secrets left in this thread, so even if they're not marked claimed, they will be made.

I'll monitor this thread until tomorrow's secret post goes up, so feel free to leave your comments until then!

there's this one youtuber who's really into the mythological lore of a book series and how it will impact the end of the series. but he's really territorial about his theories and doesn't really like a lot of alternative theories. so my worst fandom behavior is to comment on his videos with very! enthusiastic! engagement! which also says at least one thing I know annoys him (I know because he's replied in a really annoyed tone lmao). it's very mild and I actually like a lot about his theories so most of my comment is that...but do I feel a bit like I'm doing Crowley's method of demoncraft? Yes.

Just watched the first episode of Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities and while I get the very thinly veiled message, honestly... as much as an asshole the main character was, I find it more evil to indirectly kill someone on purpose than being an asshole towards people.

(Fandom: The Tudors)

Of ALL the things that should truly bother me about The Tudors (come on, they didn't even try with the historical accuracy), it's somehow that scene in the last episode where Henry meets his first three wives in a dream right before he does that annoys me the most.
Maybe it would have annoyed me less if he'd met Catherine Howard, too (I get not seeing Anne of Cleves and Catherine Parr, because they were still alive at that point, but hey it was a dream...).
I know it was supposed to be a cathartic "Take that!" moment when they all called him out - especially Anne - but it felt really off to me.
(Everyone else seems to love it.)

In general, I'm not a huge fan of any of the dynamics of omegaverse stories (like the strict caste-like society and all the worst yaoi tropes of old dialed up to eleven) but honestly, I could live with all of that if there wasn't the hidden risk of mpreg lurking in every single A/B/O story - often untagged because it's just assumed to be part of the genre for most.
Every other dumb A/B/O trope I can deal with but mpreg is just an instant nope.

I never understand why people watch shows just for shipping while admitting that the show itself isn't very good. Except I'm sure I do it myself sometimes and I just don't realize I'm doing it.

Fandom: Detective Conan

I know it's never ever going to happen, but I ship Ai/Shiho with Conan/Shinichi. That's not really a secret because I think a decent chunk (ofc not the majority) of people do that actually.

My secret it that I'm apparently now that kind of fan that doesn't care about anything but their ship - or rather Ai's story - anymore. It's been too long. At this point I'm just so damn tired of the murder-of-the-week-cases. Please give me more Black Organisation plot, preferably focused on Ai/Shiho.

Everyone in C-drama fandom seems to adore "Love Between Fairy and Devil" and I just look at all their posts and gif sets and go: "Really?" because the romantic scenes look so damn awkward - especially the kissing scenes. Maybe they're better in the actual show, but nothing I've seen makes me want to watch. (I've not checked, but the female lead gives me those uber cutesy vibes I just don't like)

I'm starting to think that Thai BL fandom has no standarts. Don't get me wrong, there is a fair amount of shows I really like, but it's mostly for the actors and their chemistry. I think the writing in most of them is garbage. Meanwhile my timeline basically writes hymns about how they're all amazing somehow? And I do get that it's part of fandom to read way more into things than the creators ever did (love a good meta), but I'm starting to be really weirded out by all of the praise.

I wish my fandom had less a/b/o and more D/s-verse. I love the power dynamics and biological imperative to dominate or be dominated kind of stuff, but I can't stand m-preg, the animalistic elements and the particular brand of feminization that seems to be part and parcel of a/b/o (in my fandom, at least).

It's hard to find youtubers who talk about ancient cultures or legends without being somewhat yikes-worthy about it. Youtuber who has a valknut/Odin's knot tattoo? I get the heebie jeebies. Historical "researcher" who takes noted white supremacist Erich Von DäNiken's made up quotes about the mahabharata that exist nowhere else outside of his books? Red flag!

I just want more sane people to make fun videos about history and myths, please.

I genuinely don’t find the idea of giving birth anally grosser or more insane than the idea of giving birth vaginally.

The reality is that giving birth is super intense and messy and a huge ordeal for the body, with biological material all over the place, often including poop. And yes, in the real world vaginas are, on average, stretchier than butts when biology demands it. But butts can be pretty damn stretchy themselves. The suspension of disbelief required is a relatively small one; tt’s not like we’re talking about pushing a baby through a pinhole here.

Also, anal birth is a fictional concept so it’s super easy to imagine certain convenient details if desired, such as that the body voids all immediate waste and then temporarily shuts down traffic through the colon during anal labor, or that a body capable of anal birth is also equipped with a stretchier anus and/or secretes a hormone similar to relaxin that enables the anus to widen further during labor.

To be clear, nobody is wrong for not enjoying mpreg. If it’s not your thing it’s not your thing and that’s completely understandable and fine. But a lot of people seem to be very hung up on the “From his BUTT?!!” aspect of mpreg, and I just feel like it’s so much ado about nothing, when the reality of giving birth is what it is.

Sometimes I do get a little depressed when I think about the stories I want to write, and if someone is going to think it's transphobic or whatever, when I myself am nonbinary/going through some strong gender feelings right now. The stories I want to write aren't necessarily the happiest, and they are for sure more different than what I see in fandom where things are automatically fixed and happy, no conflict.

I'm afraid I might go the way of Isabel Fall.

I specifically go for fetishes that are unreal and not possible in real life, because that feels so much safer and more distant to me and my own gender dysphoria reasons than the alternative.

Butt mpreg and cis men getting boobies outta nowhere? Excellent, thank you. Transmen getting pregnant? Noooo... :(

No I am not joking, I truly believe a remake of The Velvet Vampire (1971) has the potential to be a cinematic masterpiece. There was a decent story there despite the acting being downright mind numbing.

Scrolling through the tumblr tag of a fandom that skews young, you get antis a lot, obviously. I'm not "a proshipper", but I still block anyone who puts "pr0ship dni u stinky pedos" on their every post because I ain't dealing with that.

Today I saw "pr0ship/c0mship DNI", and assuming that the zero is just tiktok brain inserting unnecessary censorship -- is "comship" a real thing or just something antis made up to get mad at, and if it is real what is it?
