... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and while I'm definitely not the world's greatest expert at secret design, I'll try my best.

Just to clarify - it's my intention to make all the secrets left in this thread, so even if they're not marked claimed, they will be made. I'll monitor this thread until tomorrow's secret post goes up, so feel free to leave your comments until then!

The only character I am interested in returning in Doctor Who is Kenny, the Boy who everyone thinks blew up the school, at the end of School Reunion. I wanna know how his life panned out. He was, what 14(?) in 2006, so he'd be in his early/mid thirties now depending on how the timeline nonsense is being used this time.

Honestly? I believe the best fic synopsis are more like a Friends episode title than anything else. The One Where Character X Does Y Thing. That's all I need to know. I hate when authors start getting all faux--poetic about it.

I hate how modern Trek keeps trying to make Picard a bad guy over Wolf 359, with it being a big thing that the Borg bodyjacked him. It is like they are trying to pretend that being bodyjacked and used by hostile aliens is not a thing that happens to pretty much every Starfleet officer at least once a year. Even Sisko had to learn to get the hell over it in his first episode. Instead mordern Trek has assholes like Shaw pretending that it was this big betrayal and refusing to go to a counsellor. It is almost like modern Trek is overseen by an asshole libertarian truther.

You'll never convince me that John Pertwee's Doctor's wasn't shagging his way through UNIT HQ back in the seventies. It was the freaking 70s, ffs, and he had that whole louche dandy thing going on.

Season long story arc elements are always the weakest part of any semi-episodic show. Just snip them out and focus on the adventure of the week [relevant: Endeavour, Doctor Who, Star Trek SNW/LD etc]

I wish G1 Lagoona wasn't such a bland character, because her design is one of my favorites as far as the dolls themselves go. Mattel really wasted her potential.

I am baffled over the hype surrounding Mr. Brightside. I was lucky that I could turn it off the first time I heard it because I could actually feel my brain getting bored and irritated.

Fandom: comics and comics adaptations

Nothing sours me on a legacy character faster than TPTB trying to make the new character better than my old fave at the same things my fave was supposed to be good at. This increases exponentially if TPTB and/or fandom is awful about my old fave, especially if the shittiness comes along with a lot of guilt-tripping and shaming.

Even when I like the new character X, I still prefer my old fave. The above is a foolproof way to get me to hate the new characterX and ensure I never warm up to him or her.

I wish I had the mental capacity and time to consume full novels like I did in high school back in the late 90s-early 00s, but I guess I’m not hiding in the library each lunch time anymore. That, and the social media and undiagnosed ADHD.

I utterly loathe the backstory for Ghost in the 2009! CoD and I don't understand why it's so prevalent in fics for the remake.

The reboot racebent a character and dramatically changed the ranks and storylines for a vast majority of the main characters. Why do so many people see it as canon when it's just the most overblown angst ridden backstory one could ever imagine?

Yes I'd love longer stories and foreshadowing and growth with a consistent creative team...

But mostly because numbering is a fucking nightmare.

One of my (legit) dolls is banned on Den of Angels, and it's not that I don't get what the mods' process was when deciding what dolls are and aren't on topic, but I have to say it makes me way less interested in the forum when I can't just talk about all of my artist dolls together... but it's not like there are a whole lot of options.

(I never would have found this boy if it wasn't for the forum, too!)

I'm sad that all The Plague Dogs is remembered for is being depressing, scary, animated movie with dogs. I think it's an incredible movie, but people only seem to care about for shock factor.

Everyone in my circle is really excited for Oluwande and Jim being polyamorous. I'm not into it at all, and I don't like Archie and the Pirate Queen.

When I first started writing fanfic, all my fandom friends were much more skilled than I was. Eventually, life happened and they either disappeared or just stopped writing fic. I'm probably the only one who still writes these days.

Even though their obligations and interests changed over the years (and I haven't talked to them about fic in at least fifteen years), some small part of me wishes they'd happen upon my stuff and see how far I've come.

[fandom: Final Fantasy XIV]

I've never really gotten into WoLshipping, at least with NPCs-- I have a lot of NPC ships, and most of my WoLs are married to other OCs, but WoL/NPC has always been kind of a weird "no" zone for me.

That is, until all the Azem lore started coming up. And oh my god... not only did I fully flesh out my WoLs Azem and started also playing him in-game, but I ship him so hard with Hythlodaeus I wanna smash my face into the ground. This is new and kind of embarrassing territory for me but I'm really enjoying myself!

I’m not sure what it is about characters as hybrids in fanfic that makes my brain come to a record scratch halt. I mean, I’m fine with fic where the characters are werecreatures. I’ve read fic about cars getting it on (Dean Winchester’s Impala gets around), I’ve read about characters as penguins, I’ve read about characters as socks (socks!!!), I’ve read about plants getting it on with humans (like, vines and trees, not just beings like Pa'u Zotoh Zhaan). What I’m saying is that I can go along with a lot in fic, but something about hybrids makes me tilt my head like a confused dog. I don’t dislike them or anything, I just can’t suspend my disbelief and I can’t figure out why. It's not all that common in the fandoms I read fic for, but it does pop up now and again.

Inspired by me finally getting round to watching Interview With the Vampire series and feeling 'meh' about it.
Its ok, although I'm not a fan of the changes to Louie's story in the first episode - like the actors, glad to see Lestat flexing his telepathy and yay more gay stuff. But from how crazy everyone was about the series when it first came out I guess I expected more? I intend to finish watching the series to see if it picks up, but yeah - just feel a little disappointed so far.

For my Nano Project I wanna do the one project about a different kind of magic school and mage society but I'm still fighting doubts that it's a good idea because part of me feels no matter how much effort I put into making it entirely unique from Harry Potter it will still be dismissed as a "Harry Potter ripoff"

Even with a different (non wand using) magic system. Different mages. A world where one can choose and become a mage rather than having to be born into it. Different plot and different kinds of villains/antagonists. Different setting and school structure.

I'm still in the planning part and while I'm passionate about this I feel like this is the time to ask. Should I shelve this idea for later and do something else? Am I fighting an uphill battle? It's still fairly early October so I still have time to move to another concept that maybe doesn't have so much against it.

Edit: I forgot to add that I also plan on having lots of story stuff happen outside the school year and in the greater mage society to show what it's like outside of schooling.
