The only people I followed back then were also very chill Sheith shippers who didn't join in with any of the drama (except sometimes answering unhinged anti asks with tongue-in-cheek replies) and that was basically my only fandom connection so I was actually kinda surprised how batshit a small part of that ship fandom was. I mostly just saw the insane Klance assholes.

CN netizens can be so vile and a lot of them are great at contradicting themselves at every turn. Same as for pronounciation/dubbing is the whole looks issue. I've seen a lolt of complaints about the massive use of photoshopping/blur filters used on actors in dramas but as soon as they don't have all the makeup in the world and all possible filters applied, they also complain.

I like many things too. The important things to remember are 1) thought crimes aren't real, 2) there is a time and place for everything. I support you liking anything, and also I advise you to know your audience when you're liking things in public. R Kelly has some great songs and I've ripped a few from the web but I'm not putting them into fanvids or mixtapes for my friends. [/old]
