I think the only reason people don't realize that the SG fandom is still kicking despite the second spin-off show being a massive FAILURE is because we're generally not as loud/iconic as Trek or Wars.

The film I went to see in 3D (Thor), I only saw in 3D because the cinemas didn't actually have a 2D version. Given that the aesthetic merit of 3D film remains a matter of contention, isn't it reasonable to stick with 2D for everyone?

What I hate is the way 3D is eliminating 2D entirely, because that's basically cutting me (and others in my position, like your friend) completely out of the loop when it comes to film.

I love how usually these secrets imply that the not-real guys are these perfect, Prince Charming-y dreamboat types and yours are mostly goofballs... just cause that's exactly how I feel, too. I mean, I do think I'll eventually fall in love with a real dude but during the stage where I thought I would, it was always that sort that made me feel that way, not the EdwardCullenesque.

I hope you find a way to motivate yourself, OP. I know how hard it is. But in the end, I hope you can feel happy with your body no matter how it is, just make sure you're not ruining your health. I tend to wear tight tees, even though I'm overweight, because you know - I'm not going to be thing anyway, but wearing a tent isn't going to change that.

If I can give any advice: Do it for yourself, not others.
Do it because you'll feel better, because you'll be able to move, because your knees will be thankful - but not to look like a celebrity. Because no-one looks that way, not even the celebs (because they're photo shopped to death).

I managed to lose quite a lot with a low carb diet because it actually made me feel better and I wasn't hungry. But your body might be different and might need another approach.
