4. I have seen a lot of UC so I guess I don't get, er, looked down upon, but I also don't like automatically being a rabid, salivating fangirl who has not yet seen The Light of UC JUST because I am a big SEED fan. D: And I despise being generalized as such, not that you necessarily are.

But, see, you've actually seen a lot of UC. The main pet-peeve I have is all my friends who like Wing or Seed won't give the old one much of a chance at all - not that they like it in the first place. I don't even expect them to like 0079, or become fans of it, or to abandon the newer stuff. Just to spend some time watching some of it to say they've seen it, I guess. Maybe "appreciate" was poor word choice on my part. What I meant there was to, like, acknowledge what kind of impact it had on stuff like Wing and Seed in the first place. (Because those series wouldn't really exist if it weren't for UC anyway.)

So, yeah, I wasn't directing that secret towards all Wing and Seed fans or anything. xD;; Sorry if it sounded like I was.

Cry me an efing River. I like plenty of old school anime, I am just not a fan of the original, and I don't feel that just because I like one part of the franchise doesn't mean I am obligated to get into the rest. I have hated that attitude, and I hated the condescension that I would get whenever I made mention that I OMG liked GUndam Wing and that I couldn't care less about the original.

I might have maybe agreed that it would be nice for it to get some more attention or what not, but the good point was just lost in all the pretentious twatiness

I don't begrudge people who watch it and don't omg like it. I just get annoyed at people who say they like Gundam stuff and won't sit down and at least try watching some of the original one, whether they wind up loving it or not. I don't expect it to be everyone's cup of tea.

4. It's the exact opposite for me. The original Gundams bore me to death. I personally think the stories and characterizations in them were weak. I couldn't even finish 0079 because it failed to hold my interest. Sure, the newer ones use the same plots, but to me, they did them much better. Cut the "I'm a better fan" complex, please and stop telling people what to like or not like.

But, see, you actually sat down and watched it. I don't expect everyone to like UC stuff better. Just to actually sit down and give it a chance and say they've actually seen it. That's more than any of my Wing or Seed friends have ever done.
