I think everyone assumes I'm just too shy to show them what I've been writing. Thankfully I have an actual original novel in the works that I can say I've been working on when they wonder why there isn't a single finished product I would let anyone else read, but that excuse can only be used sparingly.

A lot of people would probably get mad over it, but I think it would be nice. I'd think of it more as Sheldon doing an actually nice and unselfish thing for Amy, instead of it negating his asexuality. I think it would be sweet. Even though they're relationship is good as is, I think it would be a fun topic to explore.

Agreed it's one of the reasons I think the movies are poor adaptations of the books, especially the DH movies. Also; honestly after reading FW, HMS STFU, and Dedfromsnake, I've come to the conclusion that many woobifiers don't like anything about the actual canon character that is Severus Snape.

This. I don't find either of them particularly attractive (except their father, but he was only in three episodes), but I love this show. Dean's personality mostly, but also his relationships with Sam, Cas and Bobby. I can find that interesting despite not wanting to bang him (and, yes, I am into guys, before someone asks).

1. There are not many shows with canonical queer characters, and they tend to just be the token gay guy/lesbian in a cast of straight people.

2. Very few characters who are 'presented as straight' actually have their sexuality explored in any detail. Unless they are queer, characters do not tend to have their sexuality directly stated in canon, because straight is assumed to be the default, so all characters are straight until proven otherwise.

3. Sexuality is fluid. Even if a character is only shown dating people of the opposite sex in canon, that doesn't mean they will never ever ever fall for someone of the same sex.

4. Shipping someone with a person of the same sex is not automatically OOC. I'm a gay women, I am occasionally attracted to men, and my personality does not become wildly different on the odd occasions I think 'oh hey, he's hot ^_^'.

5. I like non-canonical f/f and m/m pairings because I'm queer and the lack of queer representation in the media pisses me off and because I like to read about queer people, not because I want something to fap to.
