Yes, agreed! When Owen proposed, I was like, "Are you for real?" And when he was gone, I KNEW they were going to have him come back in a few episodes and it'll be some misunderstanding. I really didn't want them to go there, but they did.

I completely agree that Grayson should love Jane for Jane, and it seems like he did but he didn't realize it. Honestly, they could have played it out like Grayson knows that he loves Jane but he's afraid to lose Deb so he's finding excuses to "see" Deb in Jane. Instead, they decided that Luke needed to ruin everything because Jane was going to tell Grayson that she's Deb. I don't get that. They spent the whole of last season setting up that Grayson and Jane grow closer together with Jane being Jane, never letting Grayson grow onto the fact that Jane is Deb. So I didn't understand why at the beginning of this season they played it out that Grayson began to piece together that Jane was Deb, and that's why Luke had to break them up.

Barnaby is frustrating, is he not? I do like him, very much so, and even when upset that he just won't play nice he's horribly entertaining. Strangely enough, his dickish tendencies grew on me (though I still enjoyed his and Kotetsu's relationship once they stopped much of their fighting). That last arc where Kotetsu is silent about -that- was difficult to watch. Don't let secrets tear you apart! JUST BE HONEST!

That's probably my favorite thing about Kotetsu! Sky High is at the top of my list as well! He's so wholesome, and well meaning.

I love that the background profiles for criminals and such were readable, and that the heroes seemed to represent multiple nations!

There was a surprising amount of thought put into this anime, I think. Those little details make the world feel more legitimate.

And I haven't seen either of these (despite searching youtube), so thanks! Totes gonna check them out.

Don't lose faith! If anything can make the fandom more active again, it's the movies. Plus, if the internet is correct (lol, let me have my dreams!), it seems there might be a possibility of a second season sometime in the future? So let's keep our fingers crossed! And mmm, DVDs. Haven't even researched those myself, but I would like owning those... And post your fic on Ao3, at least? IDK how you feel about fanfiction.net but they probably have a T&B section too. The idea that there were two sons before Ashton who died in utero, that the ability to jump was sex based, that the only way to improve the world was not to be in it... all combined to give the impression that the older sons had come to the same conclusion as Ashton's character. It was just horrible to me, the idea of an infant in the womb being driven to strangle himself with his own umbilical cord.

Not exactly. May just refers to the "spring" of someone's life, whereas December is the "winter" of it. Winter can also include Jan, Feb, and even March in some places, so I don't think December actually means on death's door.

I wouldn't say either of their powers were useless-- Antonio's certainly come in handy all the time, and Ivan's *would* probably be the most useful ever if they weren't living in a superheroes-are-famous kind of world. He'd be an awesome villain with that power.

Loving someone more than they love you does not make you a better person. That's really twisted thinking, and kind of Nice Guy-ish.

Regardless, I didn't see it as him lording it over her. She was being turned into a puppet of the Daleks. The Doctor said that it was important to hold on to feelings of love to stave off the infection--and since Rory feels as if he has MORE love than her (and, as other anon pointed out, he has reason to), it would take slower on him. It would SAVE HER LIFE. He was trying to make her understand that she didn't need to take his wrist thing out of some token of love (since he believes she no longer loves him), or affection, but out of simple, as he put it, arithmetic. He loves her more, here is why.

So this is an exceptional circumstance that he brings it up.

I'm the interested anon from earlier, thank you so much for continuing this! I couldn't stop wondering how the story was going to end, lol

I actually find Barnaby really funny, because Kotetsu? When he's in the right mindset, he can make an inspiring, heartfelt speech that will make even Lunatic pause. Barnaby, on the other hand, is a great public speaker, right up until the moment he's not. It's an oddly specific sort of social fail, I think. :)

The last arc, yeah--he didn't tell Kaede either, and that was probably the most frustrating part. Does Kotetsu have no friends (who he also wouldn't tell)? He has bigger communication problems than were really necessary for the plot, I think (which is something that was also in the first arc, so good on the creators for carrying that over.)

If/when I write fic, I'll definitely get it on livejournal and try to get it on AO3. Knowing that people are still out there and reading fic for this fandom makes it easier to keep motivated, too, so thanks for that. :)

I was thinking something very similar at the beginning of the season. And that explanation would've made way more sense than Grayson suddenly suspecting that Jane might be Deb. TBH I'm hoping that in the finale they'll pull off something like this; Grayson will say that he was just scared or confused about his feelings and will confess his love for Jane as Jane, though because it's Lifetime something will go sideways and the episode will end on a cliffhanger. I just hope the cliffhanger isn't as bad as last seasons (lol, who am I kidding?) because the image of sad!Grayson looking out that window stayed with me for far too long.

All in all I love this show, and sometimes the writing is surprisingly good and heartfelt, but some of the choices they've made for this series...my mind refuses to compute. At all. You'd think they were incompetent, but I know better! IDK, they just dropped the ball this season.

Oh man. You're not doing anything wrong. Like you said, you're lonely is all. Unfortunately, people like those guys sometimes need a firmer rejection to get the picture. Since you're not flirting back, even turning them down, they're probably just too dense to realise that they need to cut that shit out. Telling them that you already have a boyfriend could certainly help, but no one is entitled to know about your personal life unless you're okay with divulging it (imo).

If you have time, I'd really suggest looking for clubs, or places to volunteer on campus to meet people and hopefully make new friends.

As others have said, OP - you are factually wrong. Kanaya is a lesbian (as others have mentioned, cited sources).

Additionally, it's not really bi-erasure when by sheer numbers there's more bisexual characters in the comic than anything else -- however it is funny you made that statement when in the same secret you are pissed that people claim that it's homosexual erasure to ship her with guy characters.

When you yourself are claiming bisexual erasure to not do that.

So, which is it? Is it erasure to ignore a character's canon sexuality or not? (I personally have a preference for keeping canonly gay characters that way since it's so rare to have them, but I really don't give a fuck what other people ship.)

Same here. For P4 I read quite a bit of Yousuke loneliness fic, because I like quiet melancholy and it fits Yousuke's character. Frankly it makes sense, since while the main charas always have lots of people surrounding them, you kinda wonder if the other people in the group are actually friends with each other without the main character acting as the social glue. It's pretty interesting to explore

In fairness, I'm not sure this man was intelligent enough to fully grasp the meaning of the word lesbian. So maybe he's just really really stupid?

Yea, you're right about that; Kotetsu has so much heart and Barnaby...not in front of other people, if he can help it.

I was surprised when I first realize his daughter didn't know he was a hero! That's a huge thing to hide, and the sort of thing you would think one would find out about, even by accident. That wasn't the best idea Kotetsu ever had, for sure. And from what the anime shown I was under the impression he didn't have anyone other than his family and fellow heroes; of course there's his former manager too, but...he's a pretty lonely fellow, honestly. Maybe he got so used to keeping his personal life to himself (after all, everyone but Antonio didn't know he had a wife and kid until sometime mid-series) that he found it hard to speak up about it. (Which isn't a good excuse, but might be part of his issue.)

NP! I'm really looking forward to finding some good fic, and if we're anything to go by, more people are getting into the series every day.

I think we take word of god as canon, though I think it's a bit harder in this case to be sure of what was said.

Now, granted, this may be over thinking, but it's homestuck, that's what we do.

We know for a fact that Kanaya's ashen quadrant is open for any two arguing people she can get close to. Two wheeled device and all that.

Now, I think we can safely say that Kanaya's red quadrant is girls only. But I'm curious about her black quadrant, since human terminology never even thought of that, and the closest word we have is hatefuck.

The fact I ship KanGamz has nothing to do with this! *cough*

I started seeing ads for it like a month after the Treyvon Martin murder and i thought it was just...really poor timing. Also - nothing that would make me want to watch it was evident in a single second of the trailer.
