What traits make a person ugly, in your view? I recently started reading some peoples' opinions on what they consider attractive, and I think I'm most likely considered ugly by many people. :(

eh, depends on the person entirely. Some things that I wouldn't consider attractive on their own are rendered gorgeous by the right person: Tom Hiddleston's big forehead, James McAvoy's weird nose, George Blagden's crooked teeth. People are more than the sum of their parts, anon, including you :)

Honestly? Personality is what turns a person ugly in my eyes, and personality can make a person beautiful. Sounds cheesy, but it's the truth.

It's very hard to say. It's something about facial features that is hard to describe. But big things that can make someone ugly to me: lack of teeth, or very bad teeth. Lack of hair is also a big one for me, as I have a thing where baldness really creeps me out. Unhealthy-looking skin, like with patches or discolorations. The rest is more vague, I hear symmetry is an important factor in what we consider pretty.

It's hard for me to pinpoint, because I find people unattractive, but I can't even remember finding someone "ugly."

Like, I find Martin Freeman really unattractive, and annoying as a person. Is he ugly? Nope.

I don't think "ugly" is really a thing. Generally, people are either eye-catching or just kind of blend in to the background. And what is eye-catching depends on the eyes, so it's not like there's any objective standard.

Big deformities (like Sloth http://imgur.com/3AkzKs7) or like fungus growing on your face. Idk. Or maybe if you're missing a face (I watched some show years ago about how some guy had a rare disease and the only way to save his life was to like surgically take out his entire sinuses which left him with this weird caved in lack of a face).

Some people here seem superficial, which is sad. As if a person with an inucurable skin disease or deformations can do anything about it.
I don't remember seeing someone as "ugly" because of the looks. Unattractive yeah. Unattractive for me is a lack of hygiene.

The only person who I thought he's ugly was a really hot, well trained black haired guy with blue eyes. After finding out he was sleeping with 6 other girls I found him disgusting and ugly.

I don't know, I don't think there are any traits that make a person 'inherently ugly' or anything. I can only think of one person off the top of my head whom I think is seriously ugly physically, and I think that opinion might be aggravated by the fact that I think he's a terrible person all round. If I liked him, I might not think he was that ugly?

It always makes me a little sad though when I see people who obviously think they're lost causes and have given up. Especially when they've given up hygiene, too. I'm always like 'come on, if you washed your hair and got a new t-shirt, it seriously wouldn't be so bad!', but of course you can't say that to people so I keep it to myself.

More a habit than a trait, but one thing I find truly hideous is the skinny girl photo pose.

Feet turned slightly inward to widen thigh gap, upper arms pressed to torso for a smaller silhouette (and little dangling t-rex arms), eyes wide open, pout, clenched jaw for hollow cheeks. Like, every photo of the Olsen twins ever. I hate that.

I personally think that redheads are ugly. Also people with gaps in their teeth, facial moles, really thin people, really fat people, anyone with curly hair, and most Asians.

But that's me. Other people find those traits very attractive. I'm not sure what kind of response you're fishing for here. Anything that someone dislikes, someone else is going to be crazy about, and vice versa.

physically or personality-wise? physically I would say missing teeth from smoking and nasty hair. personality traits I could go on about forever. the first few that come to mind are passive aggression, thinking you know everything, and being loud and ill-mannered.

A few physical things are capable of squicking me out. Piercings around the mouth are a major one. I tend to dislike straight-cut fringes, on either men or women, though oddly enough my bff got one recently and it looks fantastic on her. Almost everyone looks better with a little muscle tone, irrespective of their weight or gender. Seriously, just about everything CAN work on the right person; attractiveness is largely a matter of style and symmetry - not individual traits but the way the whole comes together.

I'm all about the nose. A fantastic nose can make a face attractive even if the other features are blah, and conversely, someone could have gorgeous eyes and everything else, but if they're nose is ugly, I just don't find them attractive.

What makes a nose ugly to me is kind of hard to define, but generally short, squat, piggish noses are a no. I LOVE large, aquiline noses, even on women. Especially on women. If you think your nose makes you look like a witch, chances are I'll think it's stunning. I love that profile. Like, this before/after picture is a tragedy to me.

I dunno, it depends on the different person and how you smile, how you act etc etc. What I find beautiful on one person I'll find ugly on another. As a rule I find life threatening viruses eating your face off unattractive.

I don't like people who are vastly overweight. I'm pretty much as thin as a stick and frankly it's just something that's never been attractive to me.

People with small noses

IDK generally someone with a certain facial feature that's just really awkward... big noses are usually a turn on for me but like, I don't know, a really squashed nose would be kinda gross. Huge forehead, huge mouth, etc. Symmetry and proportions are important

The same kinda goes for body parts, like, if someone has freakishly huge thighs or something (just as an example) that's pretty much a turn-off

Ugly is more personality/attitude/behaviors more than anything. No one wants to hang out with a rude-ass, high and mighty diva who thinks they are better than everyone and blatantly says so. If you're not a jerk you're not ugly, in my book. Unless you're looking for a superficial answer, which definitely varies from person to person. All that matters is showering/cleanliness. No one should be able to smell your BO standing next to you unless you just got done working out. Again, other than that, I doubt you're as ugly as all the bitches on the internet say you are/make you think you are.
