I got sick of the SJW tumblr crowd I saw that viral post about how "ALL white people are born racist and the ONLY thing white people can do is admit they're racist!" that got hundreds of thousands of reblogs and whatnot. No thanks, guys.

I got a little tired of her comics (even if they're based on real events) towards the end, but on the whole I like plebcomics.

I kinda find it funny that sjws seem to go more after liberals who appearently aren't radical enough (laci green and various celebrities) than people doing serious harm.

From what I gathered she posted her work details online, daring people to ring up and complain about her and when people did exactly that, she was shocked and horrified when her work fired her. I mean she was fired for dragging her work into an internet fight which is bad for their PR. I don't think she lost her job because mean tumblrs sjws didn't like her comics, she was fired for showing poor judgement. Not saying the people who contacted her work were right, they were just as petty and immature. It was just an embarrassing debacle on both sides and everyone involved acted completely ridiculously. Typical tumblr though.

I don't know how doxxing sites on tumblr are actually allowed to exist. Like the one that damaged this cartoonist. Isn't it against the rules to make things that promote bullying, any kind of bullying? Doesn't which side you are on.

The first time I saw one of her comics, my first thought was "wow, what a strawman"...

...And then I read the comments that had been added to the comic, and the people were reacting just like the "strawman" in the comic. It was a little ridiculous.

I don't know who this artist is, or what the comic is, but having just had a friend describe the exact situation in that picture I have a feeling I'd have no problem with her.

Unless a lot of the other comics were different, I see nothing in this one except true facts.

...so no wonder Tumblr hates it.

i love that doxxing has become something that people associate with tumblr, like ?????? 4chan has literally been doing that for years

and as i recall, when it was tumblr kids getting doxxed by 4channers, a ton of people here thought it was hilarious, sooo yay hypocrisy i guess!

frankly as someone who follows really really "sjw" people on tumblr and has been on both sides of the fence at varying points in my life , plebcomics doesnt get any of these issues accurate at all and she misses the point completely with every comic. her humor is terrible and hinges on a thought process that almost nobody takes.

the thing is, with actual "sjw" people who are really into social justice topics, they tend to know their place fairly well. like it or not, it's rare for the "crazy" sjws to speak outside of their social authority, ie. a white person who is as sjw-y as yall like to mock would never dream of speaking over black people, or any poc about poc-related issues. the people who talk about internalized racism as poc or recognize it in their own demographic. that's obviously not the case 100% of the time but it's way common enough to be considered the rule. these people know way better than plebcomics about race issues that affect them, since plebcomics is white. her stereotypes of various demographics are inaccurate (at best) and again, she misses the point in every single comic. not only doesnt she fallaciously come to her own conclusions about what "sjws" really think and believe, but she portrays specific groups in really inaccurate ways as well that are honestly offensive. for instance every trans person she depicts has short, unconventionally-dyed hair, hairy armpits, vague breast lumps, and is usually white. the only time trans people are depicted as PEOPLE rather than crazies foaming at the mouth is when they agree with her in the comic, which is a really dehumanizing way to differentiate groups of people.

what happened to her was questionable. plebcomics posted her own information online and dared people (quite literally dared them, i might add) to doxx her, which they did. i'm not sure what ppl were expecting. it wasn't the demographic that disliked her which caused the doxxing, it was the opportunity she provided and the fact that any human with a reasonable grasp of how the internet works could take her up on that dare. of course people did.

Curious if this artist is often called an "attention whore" like the ladies on the opposite side of the issue are? I mean, posting your info and daring people to doxx you seems WAY more attention whorey than half the stuff any of the other major female players do (which is typically just defending themselves, raising awareness of abuse, etc.)

when will people stop ignoring the actual charity contributions that gamer gate made? you can disagree with them all you want (i personally think that journalism has died long ago anyway - but i don't like the bullying on either side) but it's kind of dickish to say "UGH, GAMERGATE DID ONE THING RIGHT *TEETH GNASH*" grow up lol realize that not all of gamergate are one way - don't be a hypocrite.

as for the actual secret: even if she posted the information, she didn't deserve what happened. i didn't always agree with plebcomics but i do believe her about shit the SJWs say or have said. i saw it on my own tumblr line, twitter line, ohnotheydidnt, and a lot of other sites i frequent. i'm glad she got a job though but this incident just really confirms everything i've observed about people like those SJWs.
