24. Because sometimes the only fics in that obscure fandom are ones about characters or things we're not interested in? I mean, I love Trauma Center and have commented on most of the secrets about it here, but there's only a very select few characters I'd actually read fic about and the only fics in the fandom are definitely not about them.

I get the sentiment and I do try when I find fics for my obscure fandoms/pairings, but... yeah.

That works in big fandoms because there is enough of what everyone wants that very little gets lost in the noise. In smaller fandoms, the disparity becomes much more pronounced and as an author it's easier to lose momentum and interest if no one is reading you at all. The only way to get read is to write what people want? What do people want? You'd think that with the fandom being so small, it would be known what they want and those writing would probably write what they want if they just knew.

So you end up with more and more people NOT writing in these obscure fandoms until there is no more fandom at all and then the bitching starts of 'please exist'.

Sadly, it's a vicious cycle.

4. There's a difference between copying someone's art and referencing the pose. As long as you credit your reference, it's not a big deal. If you try to pretend that it's all yours, then it's a big deal. I think referencing is an important skill to use when learning to draw, so keep going.

4. Best way to go? If you need practice, just get picture references and don't upload them. You'll gradually learn anatomy.

31. Good Lord, sorry for your loss, but his ideals at the end of the day were far too extreme to work. And I'm not saying that because I'm secretly some master thief that should be judged. Quite frankly, having a mass murderer judging over the murderers is flawed in itself plus the fact that he's human. He was already becoming unhinged by the end of the manga and that was only 6 years, he may have eventually snapped and gone completely batshit with it (not to mention when he left it in others trust, Mikami wanted to kill slackers, there'd go my brother and he hasn't done much wrong.) Dictatorship over justice = no in my book. The current justice sytem may be flawed, but so was his.

40. Ha, this is exactly why I can't ship certain characters. Not necassarily because we're "buddies" as such, but it really can be like shipping your friends with people - it just seems wrong...

31. I have a mixed view on Light's ways. On one hand, this is kinda justified killing, cuz those are serial-killing bastards. On the other hand, they were already in death row and he quickly started doing it for the fame he'd get as "Kira". And then when the power got to his head, which was pretty quick, he started killing INNOCENT people. Did you forget that part of the manga? So yes, I do feel Light was slightly justified for killing those "bad guys" (if I may use that term), but the fact that he wanted to be "God" and killed anyone who got in his way really IS fucked up and pisses me off.

11. THANK YOU. I remember being addicted to anime when there were no internets. (Late 80's/early 90's) I was writing fanfiction and thinking I was crazy because I knew no one else who did that. Also, just finding anime was difficult back then...and very expensive. And it was all on VHS.
