My hair is pretty and that's all that seems to matter. It's pretty much the only thing I get comments on, positive or negative, but I can count on at least one of those comments a week.

I'd say I'm about average for my age and size (because let's face it, sadly this society's standards of beauty are incredibly ageist and shapeist), and average to okay looking when dolled up. However people's reaction to the way I look make me think I'm probably uglier than I think.

I think attractiveness is entirely subjective, but I also personally feel I'm ugly. I have self esteem issues that I try to work on bed never can quite get rid of.

So...Halloween. I'm just not into it, I haven't been since I was a teenager (awhile ago lol). I like seeing people enjoying the holiday, people in costumes and little kids trick or treating (I give out good candy every year!), and watching scary movies is fun, but I just find it...juvenile, I guess? for lack of a better word? I feel silly/ridiculous in a costume and my sense of secondhand embarrassment goes off the charts. I wish I cared about it but...I don't. Sorry. =\

I want to read/learn about Batman and his relationship with some of the Robins. Specifically Dick Grayson and Jason Todd. Jason seems to be the easiest because Under The Red Hood exists. And for someone who is intimated by comics, that seems like an easy place to start.

Any other recs? I can try comics as long as it is like 200 different ones with like 4 different versions.

Okay but like. Seriously. Why is the English speaking world so bad at political nomenclature. I mean like, look at the Liberal Democrats in the UK, the Democratic Party in the US, the Liberal Party of Australia, the Liberal Party of Canada, and the New Democratic Party of Canada and tell me how the fuck anyone is supposed to make sense of that.

We need to get together and work out exactly what we're trying to do with this language here. Maybe we can figure out how it came to pass that 'modern' can refer to like five different periods, too.

Turns out PMS makes all of my anxiety-related disorders (GAD, social anxiety, PPD, all diagnosed) worse. I don't bloat, I don't crave chocolate, I don't even cramp, but my emotions blow up. Usually my meds can control them 95% of the time. Right now? Nope. They do enable me to calm down after a while, but they don't stop the panic from surging when I somehow get it into my head that someone who has been savagely bullying my best friend is plotting to do the same to me for being her friend, and then drive up from wherever to come murder me.
