All my friends IRL seem to think this too. Meteor Garden was a (pretty bad, but that's my personal opinion) adaptation of Hana Yori Dango (no, not the drama--the manga). Hana Yori Dango was a (much better) adaptation of the same manga.

...and if I may ask you a quick question since you seem to know all three? Was Dao Ming Si anything like manga-Domyoji? Because Dao Ming Si almost seemed abusive to me, and I'm curious as to if the manga had Domyoji acting the same.

Seriously, people, we always have plenty of comments supporting heavy and full-figured cosplayers when a secret is posted, because the whole point is supposed to be having fun, and as long as you're happy with yourself that makes it okay, right? And yet, you jump to the other side of the fence, and all we have are people saying "WORD. Big women are better."

13. Well, maybe try explaining to her that 1) you think she'd like the show but 2) this is what happens in the pilot? Make sure she knows going in what she's going to see but make it clear that the show doesn't FOCUS on that (it really doesn't, except thematically). If she still declines, then that's her choice, but maybe she'd be willing to give it a shot?
