I have this plan of one day writing a historical fiction about those two ... I already have fanfic. Yeah, I thought I was so alone. My history professor shipped them as well, I think. 44. I first saw the movie then read the book and loved both. Howell and Sophie are <3 in both versions. The one thing I really didn't like in the book was the trip to Wales and I'm glad that it was omitted from the movie.

11 I have to ask - who taught you this? Have you seen many other Muslim women around the world? The hair length is different but they are still Muslims.

Anyone actually interested should just actually find a copy and read it themselves. All holy books are long but it's better than being misled like a lot of people are in all religions.

I loved the book so much more than the movie, and was disappointed by all the things that the movie left out or changed. However, that seems to be the way anime is. I'd hate to see what they'd do to some other novel...

Sadly, it was the movie that got me to read the book. =

I'm a Light/L shipper, but the main reason for that is that L is the only one who could be a proper companion for him. I'm tempted to write an AU fic where Light converts L and they use the Death Note to rule the world together. If there was a way to pull it off, I'm pretty sure Light would have done it, and he probably would have been able to convince L to ally with him if they had some time alone together.

As for Misa, I kinda felt sorry for her at the end. She's pretty much Light's puppet, nothing more, but at least she gets away safe. She didn't deserve to die.

44. The book was awesome, no denying that, but the Ghibli movie has it's own charm. You can't compare the two at all though or it'll just make you a very angry person (obviously, haha).

54. Oh man, Flight of the Conchords! I love that show (and incidentally, do not feel like tapping any 'o dat ass, lol). I'm sure there's a fandom for it out there...somewhere...over the rainbow...

51. Don't worry. I cannot find anything to like about Yamamoto too. In fact, I fucking hate his character because it's so EMPTY. And I could write a dissertation on the spot about why he's such a failure of a character & a shame to all jock stereotypes in anime/manga, but I don't care to.

13. Aw ... When someone asks me what my favorite band is, I automatically respond, "Three Lights" - I know how you feel. :(

19. I never really got into Light/L either - same with Mello/Near. Perhaps it's for the rival/hate smex? _{Though I have to say that that foot-washing scene made me think a bit.} But other than a soft spot for Mello/Matt, I'm pretty much a Misa/Light supporter (but L/Matt/Mello/almost any other human male in that series would be good, too). I'm of the opinion that she really isn't as stupid as most people make her out to be - she can be quite tricky when she sets her mind to it. And really, anyone placed next to Light and them Wammy boys will be severely overshadowed.

Plus Misa's hot. *O* She's probably the happiest person in the series. She's my favorite female character, and I wish she got a bit more focus - or at least a happy ending (then again, it's Death Note, so, lol).
