I was just about to post this. Was waiting for another post so it could collapse. But I keep getting more and more excited for this with every trailer. Honestly, my excitement is so high at this point it may be impossible for the movie to meet my expectations. But this looks like everything I love in a movie, and it is awesome that it is set during the OT. I can't wait for December.

I kind of hope someone somewhere cuts a version that is wholly instrumental because I'm far more interested in listening to the score and watching that beautiful scenery than actually hearing what the people are doing.

I'm writing in an exchange and I have an idea for a fic. The pairing my recip asked for includes one character who dies in canon, and all my recip wants is their pairing to be happy and no death fic. So, my story idea is a mission fic where the two of them are undercover together and end up making out and confessing feelings. However, the rest of the mission fic has them rescuing their coworkers. It ends with that stuff. I don't intend to mention anything about how the one character will die, although I feel it might be bittersweet since you know that character dies in canon and my fic is set before that. Do you think that this fulfills their prompt?

ughhhh I am so stuck. For the second time I have a cool original setting... and no story to go with it. Maybe I'm just really bad with inventing my own characters :(

Half considering sticking some fandom character in the setting, filing off the serial numbers, and seeing what happens...

I was going to wait for NaNo to start on my fic, but instead I've written 9k words in two days. This is good, I guess, but I've spent so many hours researching little stuff that I have no idea how I'm going to keep up the pace during NaNo. And I'm struggling to translate magical gameplay concepts into something not totally lame like "n then he made fireball and it hot."

On the plus side I now know more about viking leg wraps and medieval population density than I ever wanted to know.

The most irksome thing that happened to me today was waiting by the phone for an important call, and I swear I got a dozen spam calls before the call I waited for finally came up. I was in the bathroom at the time. I swear, it's like they know that is the most inconvenient moment to ring me.

Second most irksome thing was being the one stuck at a red light because the person in front of me thought putting on makeup was more important than paying attention to the road. I'm not talking about touching up blush, I'm talking about the whole shebang from scratch. Foundation, highlighter, etc. It lost first place because I laid on my horn, which scared her and made her smudge her mascara all over her eye. She gave me the finger like *I* was the unreasonable one!

I went to the Apple store to get my battery checked, but I'd made an appointment for the wrong store, so now I have to wait until Monday to get it checked out (would have been a 4 hour wait as a walk-in).

Went into the Think Geek store that just opened up. Wanted to buy a Doctor Who shirt, but they didn't have my size.

Still having sinus issues in spite of taking steroids and an antibiotic for a week. And I left a message for my doctor, but they haven't called back yet. I have a job interview tomorrow, and it would be helpful if I was feeling better.

You could see, from (im gonna assume here) the drivers seat in the front of your car, that the person in the drivers seat of a car in front of you, was putting on foundation, highlighter, etc and could tell she smudged her mascara?

I slept through both alarms I had set for myself, I don't even know how that happened! Luckily my professor for that class rarely takes attendance but I still feel shitty.

Also I have had a headache all day. I've been drinking water so I think I'm getting a sinus infection. I took a sudafed and some tylenol and its finally beginning to alleviate, but that sucked.

How to deal with a hypochondriac friend (when you're sort of mentally ill)?

I have a friend (who, to clarify also has a lot of great qualities) is also a hypochondriac, and they're applying it to you?

Very short version of fact: I've not really been well for the past year. I have been open to a lot of things - I've had a blood test, urine test - I even went to a sleep lab.

But thing is, all signs point towards me being disgusting healthy, and my problems being caused by depression/anxiety, which is not a huge surprise, as I've suffered from that before.

I have a friend who I can't really describe as a anything else but a hypochondriac. She's always having these tests done for really obscure thing (last she had come to the conclusion she must have a benign tumor, which turned out not to be the case, and she was almost disappointed as "this clearly means it's something worse").

Which, fair enough. But she basically said as much as she doesn't believe my symptoms could be just psychological, she basically distrusts my bloodwork being okay, wants to recheck it, says you can have X vitamin deficiencies even if the values on the test are okay.

She has also come to the conclusion Imust either have a hormonal issue or a tumor because I have a "bump" on my back (Which is fat, because you know, I'm fat).

And like, I honestly don't know how to deal with this. For one, i do not believe in these diseases of her - or rather, I don't believe I have them. Secondly, it's really frustrating to have your mental issues basically dismissed. I mean, I really like her - she's smart,funny, loves animals and comics - we have a lot to bond over. But, I honestly don't know what do do or say about this. And she honestly believes it, so...
