You could totally try to do a play-by-post thing, or try to find a group that plays over Skype or something like that. It's not an unsolvable problem.

I don't understand where you people are reading all of these fantastically well-written fics. What you're describing sounds like every fic I've ever read. And anyway, what do you expect from original M/M romance? (1) It's romance. The whole genre is cheesy and tropey. (2) It's probably written by fanfic authors trying to make a buck or two for their hard work because they don't get shit from fandom anymore.

No one replied to this so I will. I liked the movie. I think their version of Sakharine was a cool antagonist, but your version is also interesting because it's really ironic. Haddock would probably want to kill him on sight to restore his family's honor if he knew, but Tintin would have to hold him back and point out the guy didn't actually do anything except want to buy a model ship.
