Oh, rofl, I'll be surprised if this doesn't cause wank. *MUST LOOK THROUGH COMMENTS* But anyway... you know, I'm inclined to agree since I'm not a Squall/Rinoa fan (Seifer/Rinoa and Squall/Quistis all the way! I like my pairings edgy, and/or differently similar when it comes to the individuals themselves), but... that would mean calling some of my friends delusional, so no. D: I do agree in the sense that I also don't think he would be so willing to shut the door on what he's known all his life just to run off with some girl basically on impulse. Squall — despite his 180 personality change wtfff — is still an order-loving dutyphile (I totally made up a word), and I've always seen him as the guy who puts work just a little before everything else. Sure, he can love Rinoa at the same time — I always thought they'd be excellent friends omggg srsly THEY'LL BRAID EACH OTHER'S HAIR LOL, but the idea of them doing anything sexual squicks me something awful :| — but I'm not willing to subscribe to the idea that he'll always drop everything for a girl. That's foolish, and even though Squall is an idiot sometimes, I don't think he's that dumb.

Really, there's just something about the pairing that bugs me, but I can never quite place it. I love Rinoa, and Squall's alright, but... HUH. Maybe because they both kind of underwent a personality change? Squall's was extreme and annoying, but it wasn't the worst in my opinion — I thought Rinoa was like, totally badass at first, but then she kinda just... became so dependent on Squall, and that irked me far more than a little. Yeah! Let's perpetuate the damsel in distress stereotype, Square! :Dd Don't step out and make a female character who doesn't fall in love, especially with the main man!

Like ... All the women who are independent, throw your hands up at me? :( ...Please? OMG WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?

...BUT W/E THAT'S MY STUPID ESSAY, TIME TO MOVE ON. I'm just on a huge FF8 kick lately ... plus, as I said, not a Squall/Rinoa fan ... so add it up, and it amounts to I had to stop and spend a little time on this one. :D;

P.S. - I always preferred the technical aspects of FF8 more than the "love story" anyway. I wanna know more about the GFs! The war! The countries! :( Fuck love, I wanna learn interesting things! *nerd*

But really, the only sexual act that they can't have is intercourse for sure. I mean he can have sex with her, just that she would lose her memories. I think they gave Hideki mercy by staying a virgin so he would never feel how it's like. Also, I think you're treating Chii too much like a human than she's actually is. I doubt she even had an independent sexual thought. She was though her AI programming that she could love "that one just for me", and even then it seem kinda artificial because she would love Hideki for life or at least until reset. I think you're thinking WAY too much on it.

25. I noticed that a while back when I absolutely couldn't stand an episode of the old Ren and Stimpy show that would have me in stitches back when I was 12. I conclude that one's gross/weird tolerance level lowers as one ages. Seriously.

29. Kanon, Clannad, and Air are made by the same company and character designer (who suck IMO) so similarities are expected, but it's bad that I have to rely on the different hair and eye colors so heavily to tell these series apart (not to mention that they're sorta similar in story as well).

I usually love to dismantle people's thinking by using House. I mean, don't you think it's odd that one hospital in Jersey suddenly get all these SUPER rare diseases, all diagnosed by one doctor who seems to have all medical books memorized and that a guy like House would've lost his right to practice a LONG time ago and some of the stunts he pull wouldn't get him saved even by Cuddy IRL? I understand if the show already established a few rules and suddenly decided to throw them out of the window for no real reason at all though.

Edward, on the other hand, is a runt, that even at 18, he's probably clock in by 5'4", which is short for a guy (I remember there was an actually chart in the manga which hinted that Ed at 15 barely breached 5').

Too Big! Secret #2. Yes, Kanda is a big dork once you get past his hardcore exterior. Hoshino did rank him as the most idiotic of the four (out of Lavi, Lenalee, Allen and him). But I love him because he's such a male tsundere and I have a weak spot for them. But your friend is wrong if he thinks Kanda is angsty in anyway, in fact, he HATES angsty people. He's more of an asshole than angsty.

32. Liking a character for having an interesting backstory/personality/etc. is different from liking a character for being a good person. I love Joshua and his "WTF" nature, but I think I'd punch him if I had to stick with him like Neku did. Similarly, I like Beat as a person, but don't find him as interesting. So the next time you get that urge to think less of your friend for the same reason, think it through, eh? It might be easier to handle those feelings if you rationalize things.

47. I'm watching both Nabari no Ou and Soul Eater at the moment (haven't had time to read the manga yet, but I plan to!) and I'm finding myself to be more of a fan of Soul Eater. Yes, awesome lead female character is awesome. Very eclectic and interesting characters. The plot is interesting, and the animation and actions scenes are to die for (ilu Bones. ♥). However, since both series are pretty popular right now, I don't think there should be much of a problem as to one having a larger fandom than the other (though the whole pseudo shounen-ai material in Nabari no Ou might give it a slight edge, which makes me sad because I don't care for it at all. I'm also slightly guilty of watching it because it's oh-so-pretty. orz)

D: When I was in a recent Whose Line phase and was watching endless clips on youtube, I fell in love with Colin and Ryan's close-knit relationship and how friendly and playful they are with each other in skits. They're totally BFFs, but I could never bring myself to read any remotely slashy fic about them because I honestly can only see them as very close friends, nothing more. Anything more really bothers me.
