I see your secret and disagree. Then again, I only bought it knowing fully well what it was about, and found it strangely charming despite all the gloom. It was something new, engrossing and daring and Capcom deserve credit for not just slapping a lot of new stuff together, but actually creating a very fun GAME.

I will sympathize with those who expected more of the same and felt let down, but I will never agree. DQ was a breath of fresh air, and I am glad it was made.

21. We get this sort of complaint in Doctor Who fandom as well, with bonus zoophilia protests. (Although, surprisingly, we don't hear it as much in Torchwood fandom. >:-) I'm not actually sure it makes sense to judge immortal/human or alien/human relationships by straightforward human/human standards.

It does but only insofar as there's a difference in outlook on life due to different culture/degree of mortality/whatever. I'm more disturbed by Angel being kind of evil and nutty than I am about him being so old. There's a link, but the sheer age thing isn't the main problem in these situations.

I am largely basing this on my inability to find anything in the english speaking area of fandom. Ulquiorra with Grimmjow? Sure. Ulquiorra with Orihime? Fine. Ulquiorra with Aizen? Nuh uh. =/

And there has yet to be anyone in nine pages of comments here so far going "I do!" That's... unheard of, in my experience.

I usually find doujin really hit and miss but any pointing in the right direction would be appreciated right now. If I'm gonna be sitting in a lonely corner, I want something to look at.

1. Dammit OP I was going to go to bed early tonight. Suffice to say, I am afraid that I do not remember much of the characters from BoF, because I was in love with the dragons back then and didn't really pay much attention to the others. But I do remember that there was not one character in that game I despised as "too useless" or too weak. BoF had wonderful characters and warm humor, and I hope along with you that one day, Capcom will give it glorious resurrection. But until, we can but wait and hope.
