14. It's hard reading secrets like this because on one hand, there's a part of me that agrees with you, and on the other, I've been in the older-but-unemployed-and-living-with-parents category. It's tough enough without the judgment train. In fact, I still am in that category somewhat because I still live with my parents. I live with them because I get along with them and it's cheaper for us all to live together than separately. (It's hard to understand why in some parts of the world, living with one's parents carries such a loser stigma when it's really more economically beneficial.)

It's hard not to judge people and their situations but I get the feeling from this secret that you're somewhat reveling in your dislike of this person. I don't know what to think about that.

16. Agreed. His personality does a 180 for the sake of the romantic subplot, and while I've seen this happen to teenagers in love before, it never lasts. Squall/Rinoa is undeniably canon... for a couple of weeks, before both 17-year-olds realize that he isn't a knight in shining armor but rather an antisocial ass/she isn't a pretty princess in need of saving, but rather a very strong-willed but also very immature young socialite.

17. Nah, I'm the same way. I've always identified more with male characters and I have no gender issues. I blame it on the portayal of female characters in the media - i.e., if there were more female characters I could relate to, I would.

The beautiful thing about the English language is that it has a rich vocabulary and you can actually put shades of meaning into your writing. Poleaxed has a cartoony-humorous shading that "stunned" doesn't. Well never mind, if you are going to let a little nit like that get in the way of your enjoyment, the only one who loses out is you.

I couldn't watch the show, either. Did you try the manga?

I think a big part of it is that Chi isn't real. She's a computer and her "pleasure" would only be code in her OS that states, "If Hideki does this and Hideki has done this, then Chi should ____" and it would only be "real" pleasure at all in the way Hideki reacts to it.

...Um, that needs elaboration. Chi's smile is programming, but Chi's smile makes Hideki's heart warm, thereby it is causing real effects but those effects are not in Chi, they are in Hideki. Chi's pleasure, likewise, is programming, but it would make Hideki squirm, which is a real feeling.

That's why they spend a whole ton of time on real women being replaced by fake women, because fake women are perfect and easy and result in the same effects in men while real women need... respect and love and dignity. Which is why Shinbo's such an awesome guy for picking a woman not a machine.

And I think Hideki's little 'no vaginal sex' was supposed to be an attempt at redeeming him for choosing a computer over a woman. He won't be able to have traditional sex, which is the bane he chooses over having to... deal with PMS?

Okay, yes, CLAMP could have written this better. I think Ohkawa's point was probably this whole loving unreal but pretty things concept and Mokona Apapa just went crazy making the computers hot and do hot things, because, after all, Miyuki-chan in Wonderland was Mokona with a ton of hot female designs and Ohkawa saying 'Okay, I'll write something we can use them in.'

...X was also Ohkawa saying '[the point is] we're watching to see if Kamui repeats Subaru's mistakes.' and Mokona said '...We want you to watch Fuuma tease Kamui.'

Yet another series that Capcom has unfortunately run into the ground. I TOTALLY FEEL YOU. I WISH THEY'D MAKE A SIXTH BREATH OF FIRE GAME (and go back to the medieval theme of BoFI-IV).

I still don't understand Breath of Fire V. It's like they said to themselves, "Let's make a Breath of Fire game that has nothing that the fans enjoyed from the past four games!"

I think the series is already dead, though =\ Breath of Fire V killed it, and Capcom doesn't care anymore. They always do that with their game series DDD:

She has the mentality of a four-year-old because she hasn't been alive that long - when she resets, she's reborn. It's only natural to assume that because she was built to be like a real human, she would develop mentally like a real one with time.

If she remained with a four-year-old mentality forever, that would be a bit squicky (IMHO) in itself - whether or not he actually taps her, Hideki still wants her. He can't be a parent to her; it's not that sort of relationship. Even if there's no actual sex involved, it's still a sexually-bent relationship with what amounts to a child... and don't even get me started on how the hell Hideki is supposed to go without sex for the rest of his life. (Priests with oaths frequently don't pull it off; I can't imagine it being realistic at all with Hideki. Even if he did manage, he'd be miserable. Sex is part of a normal and healthy relationship.)
