I totally agree with you, man. I've been saying this for a couple months now--JRPGs are recycling the same stories, the same ideas, the same systems. And the ones that endeavor to be original are just ridiculously retarded in other areas. It seems that the only RPGs I can play anymore are ones that have the nostalgia card--FFVII, FFVIII, Zelda (though that's technically 'adventure', but whatever), .hack, etc.

JRPGs nowadays are just hella boring to me now, and I know it's not because I'm growing out of it, I'm just sick of seeing the same fucking story--16-year-old Sukiyaki wakes up, discovers he's SOOPER AWESEOM, and kicks some evil dude in the balls. And it's always the same stupid turn-based battling. Not even Final Fantasy can get away with recycling the same shit anymore, which is probably why they tried to change it up with FFXII (which was really just a non-online version of FFXI, but whatever).

But whatever. I can't really afford videogames at the moment right now so it's not like it matters. Need... Metal Gear Solid... Portable Ops... *chokes and dies*

78 - I've watched the Japanese YGO, and man I cannot stand it. I prefer it in English, with it's corny dialogue? Why? Because without the stupid jokes, you have to take it far too seriously. It's a program about Card Games, there's no way I could take that seriously! I love the Dub.

49. I agree so much, from where we found out ash = kayn it went downhill for me. It was like, oh, the da'kor are evil. That's why silvah is evil. The only good da'kor was actually an elf! It like destroyed all the messages in the beginning of the comic. I mean I'm happy varden and lei'la were happy too, but we could have assumed that and we should have found out more about the fate of the actual races. Argh. alskdfalskdf.

83. I just read that book and it's teeeerrrible. It has no likeable characters. They're all spoiled bitches or mary sues. aoksdflkasdf. At least twilight has likeable characters (Jake, Rosalie, Jasper, the rest of the pack). But I'll probably read the next in the series anyway because I haaaated twilight but I like new moon and eclipse enough to re-read them even if I hate smeyer's guts, so maybe a great and terrible book as I nicknamed it two days ago when I read it (but I like the superlative additions of not-so and pretty damn) will have likeable characters in its sequels?

Can't help you about 4chan because that site is totally beyond me, but I'm a 4-years-back YGO fan, so... *strikes Yami no Yuugi pose* Yo.

I miss participating in fandom, but I kind of fell out of most of the comms I was part of once GX took center stage. I've gotten back into it somewhat of late, but really I think I need to sit down this summer and watch it all over again.

I'm just glad the fandom hasn't died. The Abridged Series, aside from being almost painfully hilarious, breathed new life into it, and for that I am thankful. @__@

24. When I was 11, I watched this movie 13012 times, shipped the main guys like crazy. I wasn't able to touch it for the last 5 years and I think it's the biggest crap ever, but the SOUNDTRACK IS FREAKING AWESOME AND MAKES ME CRY UNTIL THIS VERY DAY.
