Precisely. And, honestly, just one writer in particular. This writer uses the Eighth Doctor as a dumping ground for horrible self-inserts, making him a flat, brainless mockery of his awesome and playing up his AWWW ADORABLE factor to get attention.

I love Eight. So, so much. And seeing what this writer does to him makes me cringe. ;__;

83. I called up a friend just to RANT how absolutely excruciatingly terrible that book was while I was reading it last night. I must have gone off for ten minutes straight. The fact that it was published and seems to be fairly popular sort of makes me want to weep.

40. What, no - Houshin Engi's a great series! (of course I. Might be biased) Even if you don't get into the anime or the manga (so far I'm only reading the manga), at least give the novels (Creation of the Gods) a try. They're like an ancient Chinese shounen manga (amazing, huh?).

76. I loved that game! It has an amazingly shallow learning curve, so even if you aren't good at those types of games, it's not hard to get started on it (I learned to play Silent Hill games with it).

I completely agree with you in regards to X. I thought it had one of the most emotional FF endings to date, and I was so ticked off that the good and perfect endings ruined it. I also felt Spira in general just seemed so...off. Shelinda as an announcer with no emotional reaction to the corrupt nature of the very religion she loved? WTF?
