156. Try it! I started taking ballet classes at 15 yrs old, and not only is it great, healthy excercise, it's also fun. And when you look at the mirror and see there's someone there dancing gracefully, and you realize that's _you_... It's amazing. You might not get dance for a living if you start late, but lessons are great anyway.

104 - I <3 you SO HARD for including Neverending Story and Transformers!!! :DD I find getting back in touch with the stuff I grew up on and maybe taking your prior love of it into fandom is a really enjoyable experience.

116 - I think we're going to see some tension between them next season, and obviously their relationship is never really going to be the same again. After something as big as the death of someone you love, everything changes. But I also think they'll mend. Right now, Wilson is completely wrought with grief and undoubtedly thinking clearly. He's going through the five stages of grief right now. We had denial throughout much of Wilson's Heart, and at the end, I think he's shifting to anger ("Why aren't you angry?!"). Anger at himself, anger at House, anger at the world, maybe even anger at Amber. That's why he's blaming House right now; and it doesn't help that House blames himself. (That was made clear in the coma sequence, where, if you go with the pattern set up in this and prior seasons, Amber was simply a manifestation in House's mind, and thus could only impart to him things that he thought.) They're going to go through a huge, agonizing blame-circle, but eventually they'll realize how stupid they're being. (I have my own theories as to how this will happen, specifically involving the spoiler for a roadtrip in S5...) But remember, there's 3 more stages in grief - we still need to get through bargaining and depression before finally reaching acceptance (and with Wilson's confirmed clinical depression, I have a feeling that won't be fun for him). But I have faith that things will turn out! They have to - the show would fall without the backbone of the House and Wilson interactions. And without Wilson, House himself falls apart. (LOL wow, sorry about the rant!)

No, don't apologize. It's actually nice to know I'm not the only one who can rant forever about this whole situation that's surfaced with the death of Amber. :/ I'm willing to give Wilson time, of course. I mean, I know how hard that sort of thing can be. I just - it's just that I read in an interview that House is supposedly going to have to do "something big" for Wilson, and my first thought was, hasn't he done enough? The man risked his life (and nearly succeeded in sacrificing it) just to make Wilson happy. I just want Wilson to realize that. Eventually. You know what I mean?

120. SECONDED. I was amazed after Cloverfield. I was shaking. Normally, "scary" movies give me a momentary thrill which soon goes away, but after Cloverfield, it took me forever to talk normally.

Too bad it's not being shown in theaters anymore, because the theater makes it all the more amazing.

133. I think the people who compare those pairings are nuts. As much as I love seeing Jesse Spencer naked, Cameron and Chase are kinda OOC together. What happened to her love for broken people? What happened to the fact that he's canonically kinky, the go-to guy for explaining weird sexual behaviour (not to mention drugs), and a top and even had a girlfriend who had a serious pain kink? How in the world was the sex good enough for Mr Control Freak to run after her like a lovesick child when there wasn't a mark left on either of them? Inquiring minds want to know. 112. Welcome to the NHK is probably one of the most surreal and utterly depressing series I've ever seen. I remember reading through some of the chapters feeling this horrible empty feeling in the pit of my stomach because the words and situations were so hopeless and real to me. I haven't been able to find the guts to finish the manga because I'm afraid of what happens in the end. D:

117. As much as I agree, I am dreading the endless circle jerk that this might result in.

118. I totally agree! Then again, considering the severity of some of the past issues we've had to deal with (Skypiea and God, the falling out between the Strawhat members in Water 7, Zoro's near-sacrifice at the end of Thriller Bark), slavery and racism doesn't seem like an unlikey subject to be dealt with. It's still pretty damn harsh and makes me very uncomfortable though. Holy crap Oda, what the heck are you on to be making these kinds of plot twists?

And I think it's a total shame you can't talk about this with any of your LJ friends. Don't be afraid to be an active member of the One Piece fandom. There's never any really big wank tossed around by actual fans, that's all from the people tossing around the idea that the series is nothing more but "generic shounen". A lot of the fans I know can start up great conversations on the series; very mellow and fun group.

120. I have never seen a thriller or horror movie that actually managed to scare me. When I went to see Cloverfield with a group of friends, I highly doubted it was going to make any sort of noticeable impression on me.

Twenty minutes into the movie I feel like I'm about to have a panic attack. My hands and arms wouldn't stop shaking, my breathing was heavy and irregular and when I got out of the theater I actually felt that at any moment, something was going to happen like in the movie. I was absolutely terrified by Cloverfield. I couldn't even go to sleep that night, that's how much it bothered me.

I both love and hate the film because of this, lol. 8D;

133. adlkadjl Kutner/Thirteen secret~. ♥ I think I'm starting to ship them too, and I have no idea why since I haven't gotten a good hold of their characters, but I seem to be doing it anyways. Though in my own eyes, I don't really see how similar they could be to Cameron/Chase. I think Kutner/13 is... more stable? I don't know.
