154: Thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you. The "Utena/Anthy is cannon yuri - yayh!" concept has never sat well with me. If that's true, it means they really haven't learned anything. I don't want Anthy to be in a relationship, because I want to see her learn how to be happy and define herself without one. I don't want Utena to continue to play the role of prince outside Ohtori. I just want them to realize there is more to the world, and to themselves, then princes or princesses, and that there is affection without it having to be sexual. In all these years, OP, you are the only one I've ever seen who thinks this way, so thank you for showing me I'm not the only one. [And cannon in the movie or not, in the manga, U/A is not cannon, and that is the point (and why it's my favorite version).]

154: I agree with both of you completely. I never saw it as Yuri, and I still get confused when people say that it is. I never saw that relationship as anything other than platonic.

168: FUCKING SIGNED. I have one person on my flist who doesn't seem to understand that his dismissal of #4 as inferior due to aliens constitutes a threat to his self-professed atheist status, and another who's pissed because it wasn't the movie she would have made. I'm not sorry I saw it and I won't hide that fact next time I talk to them.
