...Robert Englund is such a sweety, He gave me a hug earlier this year when I informed him of My Freddy-phobia when I met him at a Con in the UK.

I'm now totally okay with anyone finding him cute and or sexy because I know he's not really a creepy pizza faced rapist with a kiddy fetish.

While I agree with the main gist of the secret (Hint: You're not being COOL AND EDGY by calling people faggots, you're being asshats), way to go with the double standard. Why is it okay for gay people to use the word?

And fwiw I'm not straight.

130. I AM SO THERE RIGHT WITH YOU. OH MAN. YES PLEASE.

Warning #2, 113, 117

[identity profile] xreddestinyx.livejournal.com 2008-06-22 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL! Warning #2 is hilarious! And it reminds me of the Excel Saga box set. "Raw sewage, cooked sewage, microwave ready sewage..."

113. I remember Yves! I always thought he was cool, mostly because he was a fellow asexual on /cm/. And he was always really nice and calm. He was even kind to me when I posted there, and /cm/ hates me for some reason.

117. I can't enjoy House, or really any other medical drama. Mostly because I've been spoiled by Black Jack and all other fictional doctors are ruined for me. He's a hard act to follow. :P

113.

You're not alone my fellow /cm/er!!
Don't forget Yves' turtoise <33333333333

First, what's up with the huge warning list? Did someone complain that there aren't enough warnings on f!s? IT'S FANDOM SECRETS. THAT SHOULD BE WARNING ENOUGH.

They did indeed.

154 - HELLS YEAH! I love that show. No one can be a better Joker! ... They need to settle those damn lawsuits and put that show on DVD already...

156 - I know exactly what you mean. Jimmy Stewart would have been 100 last month if he were still alive. Buster Keaton would be 113 in October if he were still alive...

137. XDD Haha, not much subtext to work with though. Gosho likes to shove the Ran/Shinichi into the readers' faces (as much as I love that pairing). But goodness, Conan secret~! ♥ And I ship it, too. 8D

140. Anything Snake related has an excellent ass. :')

Also, Errol Flynn (http://gracemagazine.files.wordpress.com/2007/03/errolflynn250.jpg). Oh, fuck me.

Where are the modern equivalents?

Oh, and Julian is hot as well. Icon love!

103. I hate relying on reviews for my self-worth, but it seems to be the norm ‘round these parts. Damn.

105. What is that? Adrian looks effing wicked.

128. I just burst out laughing. Good on ya, mate.

143. Awesomely worded, even though I’ve no idea who any of the people are.

144. That show used to depress me for that exact reason. So now I watch “Extras” instead. Makes me feel a whole better about my own life. ;p

I don't ship it but I support people that do! I think it's the fact that she isn't all "I LOVE YOU DOCTOR DO YOU LOVE ME I LOVE YOU WHY DON'T YOU LOVE MEEEEEEEEEE" that makes any possible actual romantic relationship between them much, much better than with Rose or Martha.

And extra OH GOD YES to everything after "I ship them hard" on 147. For almost my entire life, Jo Grant was "my" Companion, she was my favorite, when anyone hated on her I would defend her. Donna took the number one Companion spot away from Jo after her VERY FIRST APPEARANCE in The Runaway Bride.

(Anonymous) 2008-06-22 09:46 pm (UTC)(link)
But what will other people say when they want a mysterious lump of Northern meat in gravy or when they need some pieces of wood to start a fire?

And, TBF, faggot =/= gay. Faggot = annoying camp fucker who seems to think that your sexuality defines your identity.

I like cock in my arse, but that doesn't mean I have to lisp and like pink fucking sparkles.

Re: 149.

[identity profile] likespring.livejournal.com 2008-06-22 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I guess guys who really DO have a lisp (many of whom are straight!) or really DO like pink or shiny things, or drama, or other stereotypical things, have to change who they are in order to fit your idea of what a gay man should be. Great to know, good on you for being so accepting.

I think I have the opposite problem to you. I love Dr Who but all my friends hate it and keep asking me what it is I could possibly like about it, then constantly slate it to me. I wish they would learn to respect people's opinions x_x

Re: 108

[identity profile] tictactardis.livejournal.com 2008-06-22 10:11 pm (UTC)(link)
I have the exact same problem. D: And the friends that don't hate it simply don't know it! (And I'm too scared to show it to them because of my other friends' reactions @o@)

149

[identity profile] paulnolan.livejournal.com 2008-06-22 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Agreed, except I'm OK with hearing it from people who are gay-friendly too, not just fellow faggots/fagettes. The word is nothing; it's the sentiment that counts.

[identity profile] last-archangel.livejournal.com 2008-06-22 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Where can I find the original "My Secret" song?

108

[identity profile] kuromitsu.livejournal.com 2008-06-22 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
You're not alone. I watched a few episodes of the previous(?) series when it aired here, and frankly, I found it lame and silly, and the acting was ridiculously bad. I was really surprised when I accidentally found out that it had such a large fandom. Ah well, to each his/her own.

Re: 108

[identity profile] ailurophile6.livejournal.com 2008-06-23 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
Definitely not alone.....I cannot stand the show in any incarnation

105, 108

[identity profile] boombangbing.livejournal.com 2008-06-22 09:52 pm (UTC)(link)
105 - Guuuuh. (<- fangirl noise, not zombie.) I was just talking about that film today and OMGOMG, I forgot just how good Pasdar looked. *might need to buy the DVD*

108 - You're not the only one. I loved Eccleston, and Donna's helped the show along, but it really just doesn't grab me anymore. The stories are either too ridiculous or just don't make any sense at all (and, side tangent, but I no longer love Jack, Torchwood has broken him - and that makes me sad). The latest episode did nothing for me. Oh! And they're not even trying with the effects anymore. I know they always meant for it to keep some of its old kitsch, but I'm pretty sure it used to be better than it is now.

110: There is art...I think the artist's name is androp. And if you go to the OLD OLD ST:TNG fansites, you can find some more.

126: Otacon needs one of those. I am sure Snake isn't the most supportive friend around.

153: XEEEEENOOOOOGEARS. I FREAKING LOVE CHUCHU.

Yes, I love androp, but the fic is practically nonexistent. I've found two so far: one that was more Data/Geordi than anything, and another that was a threesome with Bruce Maddox which I would love to find again. -sigh-
