People who expect cats to be dogs and then get annoyed when they aren't. People who want any animal to be something they aren't and then blame the animal. People who think it is funny to talk about how much they hate cats and to make jokes about killing them.

Lol, if people want something that's like a dog, they should have a kid. It's more or less the same thing imo. xDD You teach them tricks, feed them, clean them a lot, scold them, treat them, do fun things with them, and will probably chase them off of things they shouldn't be on more often than not - and during potty training, rip your floors. xDDD

.-. One of my sisters had a friend who deeply disturbed me when she revealed to me that she had always wanted to 'pop' a cat's paw pad. And like, to make it creepier, she gave from a very religious family. x.x

Also, my other sis hates cats and is constantly talking about how she can't wait for ours to die. =(

I'll extend that into inability to read both cats and dogs (and other animals) - or rather, reading their actions (and "facial expressions") from a human perspective. It's a little annoying when you get the "oh my dog just broke something and now looks so guilty!" or whatever. Really frustrating when it's shoving negative characteristics on the animal. Your cat is not a manipulative and vengeful bitch who wants to kill you. If your cat keeps biting you, read the situation better. Are you petting it after it tries to signal to you that it doesn't want any more? Are you raising your voice (even jokingly, because Cleo and Fido can't tell you're joking when you start yelling and acting threateningly) or advancing on them in a way that looks aggressive? etc.

Ugh, yeah. I understand having a preference for one over the other, but I hate the whole "cats are evil, cats have no soul, etc" thing... especially when people only think that because cats are independent or less easy to read than dogs. That... doesn't make them the spawn of Satan.

I wish more people understood this, cats aren't dogs and won't behave like dogs, if you want something that behaves like a dog then get a fucking dog.

And the whole 'cats are evil' bs is just tiring, no they are not the spawn of satan, no my cats don't try to kill me every day(mostly they want food and pets/cuddles), and like dogs they have their own personalities that you'll learn and figure out.

On the flip side, I hate it when people call friendly, snuggly, playful cats "dogs in cat bodies". Like no, my cat isn't secretly a dog. He's a cat, because cats can be (and often are) playful, loving, and cuddly.

People who think that their feelings about someone's artistic work also means something about that person's moral worth.

Like, people whose response to something like the Louis CK news is along the lines of "I never liked his comedy so this doesn't surprise me". That's not how it works! Disliking someone's comedy or acting is not a useful predictor of them being a shitty human being! Stop it!

I guess education systems world wide failed them if no one knows about hyperbole or metonymy. Your feelings got in the way of you actually seeing how you can help improve the world, how ironic. Now if a statement is like "all men are rapists", that won't fly, because that's a serious statement to claim.

"but what if we said the same thing about a minority group?" you mean what if you said the same thing as a group that doesn't have the institutional power? I don't have to explain further, do I?

People who (and I've noticed this proportionately more with guys) even if they're standing closer to the doors of the elevator, make you get off first. Dude, you are not holding a door for me (which is just polite), just fucking get out of the elevator already!

Also on the topic of elevators, people who try and get in before people have even gotten out.

People who walk 2-3 abreast on a sidewalk (which in and of itself is fine), but then don't move when someone is coming in the other direction. Why do I have to walk on the grass/snow/road /whatever because one of you can't walk behind the others for three seconds.

People who stare at you/in your direction - I have enough social anxiety thank you very much and that doesn't help.

Guys who don't respect 'no'.

Racists/homophobics/ignorant jerks who are all too eager to say shit in front of me and/or my kid (not necessarily about me or him, but like when they speak in general terms too). My family is puerto rican ancestry and my son is half black, plus I'm lesbian who minds my business and doesn't bother anyone. A woman sat at the doctor's with us and started talking about how homosexuality is a mental disease and I was like, mentally, 'I would rip you in half if my kid wasn't here ohhhh myyyy godddd.' (This particular incident further upset me because I haven't fully explained to my son about sexuality and since I haven't dated anyone in a while, this hasn't really come up, but like, don't put that kind of shit in my kid's head. Or any kid's head.) >O

I had to wait a long time for a shuttle yesterday and some old lady started yapping at length to her friend about some nonsense slogan "Rejection is god's protection." what she apparently meant by that gibberish is if a man isn't interested in a woman it's because god is doing her some sort of favor. I look like shit. I was in a relationship with an abusive ass for too long because I was afraid of being alone. I haven't had a boyfriend or a date in FOURTEEN YEARS. This old bag thinks god is doing me some sort of favor by making me this way?! what a crock of bullshit. want to know why I'm an atheist? this sort of shit is one reason.

I have an e-ink reader on order (a Kobo), and it just shipped today via UPS. Service in my neighborhood is frequently spotty.

Also, when you just have time in the evening to bang out 20 - 30 minutes in a game, only to hit an update screen.

People who are constantly complaining about not getting reviews on their fic and then turn around to whine "wah I should have gone into art instead of fic, look at all those notes people get for quick little scribbles while I toil away for hours at my brilliant stories and get NO recognition".
Fuck you. I've seen the notes on your fic and it gets a lot of feedback compared to plenty of people's art and if you actually think art takes less time than your dumb PWP porn ficlets... think again.

Do you mean it's average? Awful? It could mean either one. On top of it looking a bit timid and tumblr hive mind-ey. I used to know someone who always wrote like that all the time. It was so annoying.

I also dislike the overuse of "super."
