So I put in for an extra days holiday around the easter weekend. Now that's over. I am unbelievably depressed that I have work tomorrow. Like REALLY badly.

...would you rather be the fan favorite, or the creator's pet?

Assuming that in being one you are barred from being the other, but not necessarily meaning that you would be hated by the other faction or anything. Just. Mutually exclusive options.

I'd rather be neither, but probably the fan favorite.

The creator's pet is usually cringey and obvious and awful in canon, whereas the fan favorite is the same but in fanon. I'd rather have the real one be normal because at least you could say it's not canon then.

It depends how long the show goes. If only 1 season, definitely creator's pet. If it's longer than 2 seasons, definitely a fan favorite - fan favorites get blown out into bigger parts as time goes on whereas creator's pets get screwed with as people realize the fandom doesn't share the creator's feelings.

If it's exactly 2 seasons, that's a grey area. Probably fan favorite, though, fan favorites are just cooler.

Fan favorite, because even if I only have a few scenes, there will be masses of fanwork dedicated to my character. If I'm lucky, the creators will keep me around and not ruin me. I fear creator's pet may get a little Sue-ish.

Fan favorite. I know what happens to creator's pets. Either they're horribly obnoxious because the author loves them or they SUFFERRRRRRRRRRRRR because the author loves them.

What constitutes an anti?

Based on secret #2 and the idea that FS is swarming with antis, what makes an anti an anti? Is it enough to hate something? To be loud in your loathing for something on neutral ground like FS? Or do you have to find a Pro-Thing-You-Hate space or Fan-of-Thing-You-Hate and fling abuse at them like a monkey flinging shit?

Does anyone here on FS consider themself an anti? Against what? Anyone here been a target of antis? What for?

I don't think that anyone here actually thinks that F!S is swarming with antis

For me, it is anyone who hates a pairing/character enough to tag their hate so that fans of the pairing/character see it. So I don't really think consider people on F!S to be antis because this is sort of a neutral fandom place.

If you make a point to seek out fans of the thing you hate and engage with them to make your hater creds known, that's anti behavior. I'm counting stuff like public essays on Why The Thing Is Bad as well.

Black and white thinking and use of very powerful social justice concepts and tactics as a means of harassment over things (like shipping or fanart) that do not need anywhere near that amount of force. Hating something is not the same as being an anti, but using that hate as a fuel for harassment is.

What pairings (no matter how unlikely) do you want to become canon....

Anyone else had bursitis before? Anyone know anything I can do for the pain besides the naproxen I'm already taking and the Ice I've been putting on ever few hours? Hurts enough that it is making me nauseous, and I really need to sleep.

I got Moon as a gift a while back and realised I had a backlog of Pokemon games to finish first (Black, HeartGold, and Y). Just finished Black and loaded up HeartGold, wondered why I'd stopped only 2 Gym badges in then remembered that the next Gym is Whitney and her demonic Miltank. :(

Any Pokemon fans here? Favourite game? Favourite Pokemon/s? (Haunter for me!) Should I be excited about working towards the current gen games or have they gone downhill? Any fellow Shiny collectors?
